Update 5: will it be released according to the 4-6 weeks schedule?

From Ask us Anything on Reddit, a while ago:

Patch cadence is going to be update every 4-6 weeks with weekly patches currently to fix issues and get the service stable.

Update 4 was released on the 15th of September. Add 6 weeks and that's 27/10.
Is Update 5 coming on the 27th of October?
(and no, I do not consider being available on the PTS as a full update)

I understand that this update contains a lot of new awesome content.
I understand that the new FX improvements required tons of lines of text to be processed.
I understand that many changes require testing and that the PTS may not be working as effectively as you could have expected.
I understand that Molag Bal's forces are rampaging through the Imperial City and may slow things down a bit.
I understand that some of the developpers are trying to grow beards, which may or may not reflect badly on their ability to perform effectively.

Buuuut, do we get our update next week?
I can't wait to play it on live.

I guess we will find out during ESO Live #4.

My guess is that 1.5.2 will be put on Live next week and that it is in internal testing now. I think this is why they put 1.5.1 onto PTS on Monday rather than waiting until later in the week.

The six month subs expire on November 5. I would expect update 1.5 to drop before that date.

It should be on the 27th but no biggie if they push it back a week or two to double check for bugs.

Why? Bugs will inevitably be there when it rolls out anyway. We'll find them, they'll fix them. Like they always do.

It's a wonder we have a PTS at all.

You're forgetting the free 5 days everyone got back in like... late May. Should put it around November 10th.

But they should strive for it being less buggy each time. This last one wasn't nearly as buggy as the previous updates but there were still more than they would like. They kind of shot themselves in the foot with content coming every 4-6 weeks. I mean that's just insanity.

November 5 is right. The first 6 month subscriptions should be up 215 days after the launch on April 4.

I really wish they'd give us an estimate of release date for the update instead of us wondering and guessing. I'm like a kid with a present except no one will tell me when I get to open the present.

I'd be surprised if it does get pushed out next week. It hasn't been on the PTS long enough.

I think they'll really screw themselves if they don't release it before the 6 month subs come up. I'm sure in the mind of someone they're thinking 'ooo, we'll wait until after they expire so we can entice them to re-sub!'. In my opinion, that would be a huge mistake, because if they don't release it before my sub is up, I'm just not going to bother to resub.
No doubt there will be lots of bugs, but as long as the changes are good, there's a glimmer of hope I'll stick around and resub for another month, but if they wait until after subs expire, I'm just going to feel like they're playing me.

I'm going to go out on a limb here (cat's prerogative) and guess that since they aren't having NA server maintenance tomorrow, that means they are going to update the PTS again. Then, of course, everyone would have to test the new patch on the PTS for at least a week before they push it live.

I will say that if they do not announce maintenance on the PTS server for Tuesday that 1.5.2 will be on Wednesday for NA, Thursday for EU.

They promised that us EU folks would get our "live" characters transferred to PTS and to test it for at least a week before it went "live".
So I wouldn't at all be surprised if v5 went live tomorrow...

I was actually surprised that they did not put the EU characters on the PTS when they did the 1.5.1 maintenance.

You mean you actually believed the EU character copy would really take place? Oh my...

To be fair, I suspect that the EU character copy will be transferred 10/27/14. That will throw 1.5 live on the severs the week of 11/10/14. I suspect 1.6 will hit the PTS about 11/24/14. Two weeks for the US sever characters and two for the EU characters and 1.6 live on 12/22/14. Just my estimate of the time line. The timing works out well for the major US holidays when people have a little more time to play.

In my opinion its much more important that when 1.5 goes live comes out smooth than will that happen 5 days before or after some imaginary date. If release date (4-5 days difference) of this patch is making or breaking this game for you than i realy think u should go and dont look back.

From what I heard, we still gotta get 1.5.2 and test it so I'd say at the very least 2 more weeks. Which is bad because there is nothing to do atm...

Update 5 will hit in Week 46 to have something in the Pipe against WOD Release in the same week.

I agree that 1.5's launch should be as smooth as possible but I'm a bit worried if ZoS slows down on the updates. 1.6 is supposed to bring even more content. If delays keep piling up we won't have Imperial City for Christmas.
If the 4-6 weeks schedule was unrealistic, they should say so clearly and explain why.

Update 5 matters a great deal to me because of vet dungeon repeatability through the undaunted pledges. At the moment, almost nobody is playing those dungeons, simply waiting for the reward increase of 1.5. Another week of delays means another week without dungeons. (Yaaay, trials again ...)
