Wanna absolutely destroy in pvp? create a NB bow toon, stack up weapon damage armor and potion. stealth up. Fire lethal arrow. win. every time.
3500 health, Got hit, health bar immediately desynced, 100% reduced healing, can't break CC, all attacks in less then 3 secs, dead. happens every. single. time.
Currently have 270 crit D. wonder what it would of hit for if I had 0. No marked target was ever applied.
I don't even know what to say anymore. I would go into my usual about how ZoS is the champion of game development and their dedication to perfection is only surpassed by the quality of their programming. But I'm tired of beating that dead horse.

Valymer✭✭✭✭✭270 impenetrable rating is only 27% reduced chance for opponent to crit...
With potions and the right build, people can easily hit 80%+ chance to crit. I personally went full impenetrable--7 armor + shield = 8 x 90 impen (purple) = 720 impenetrable rating. Which I think means that no one under 72% chance to crit can crit me.
It's the only way to survive lethal arrow and ambush stun locks for me it seems (light armor user)7 -

Just stack impenetrable. Easiest way to avoid being nuked by any ability, not good enough? Try putting a damage shield or radiant light. Or wear more armor.3 -

1. You can't destroy in PvP with that build. Feel free to try. No one is winning wars with that build.
EDIT: Kept track and saw I was able to hit some lower level toons in cloth for almost 2k so I guess this is not unheard. The DPS posted in OP is about 10% higher than that which doesn't seem impossible given how damage works. With the right buffs it does actually seem possible. 2. The damage you show is ~ equivalent to 2x lethal arrows, not 1. I suspect the "desync" is really you lagged out while the enemy fires 2 arrows. In that regard, I sympathize. It is BS and I don't know why ZoS can't figure out how to fix it. I say this, because I have 240 weapon damage, with a v14 crafted legendary bow with a legendary glyph in it. aco5712✭✭✭✭✭its the archers mind set thats letting you get these ridiculous numbers. I only ran 200 wep dmg and 2.4k stamina to screw around with on my NB at low pop times with bow, (using archers mind) and i end up sniping for 1.8k~ so imagine someone who actually stacked stamina nd wep dmg and pots and didnt do it half assed.Banned for Naming and Shaming exploiters. Great ideology ZOS.

Honfold✭✭✭The numbers OP has posted on the damage are not the norm. Very high hits with lethal will scale around 1,800 to 2,300. This death log was clearly the exception.
This is coming from someone who played the standard NB bow ganker for weeks.
Everyone that is complaining about lethal arrow should rest easy knowing that it and all other stealth attacks are being nerfed.
In case Zenimax changes their mind, I will let you in on a secret. When you get hit with Lethal Arrow hold block then cast a heal or scales. It is literally that easy to stop the Lethal Arrow NB build everyone goes on about. You're welcome.10 -

Snipe is NOT nerfed on PTS lol.... Just because they reduced sneak dmg and lowered snipe dmg by 5% doesnt mean its nerfed... they also dereased the cast time of snipe from 1.8 to 1.0

Sneak attacks fully ignores impenetrable. Same goes for auto crits. Having 0% or 80% impen doesn't matter in those scenarios. Damage from snipe + morphs is the same. Heavy doesn't matter much either since Lethal Arrow deals poison dmg. Added the fact that everyone's penetration is buffed in PvP, making armor mitigation a poor investment.
Only counter against bow instagib is 100% uptime on shield stacking and turning up your audio lol.
Impen helps against non-stealthed Snipes, sure. But who uses that? Bow is weak-sauce, actually trash, outside of stealthy game play. It's a one hit sneak wonder, literally. Will hopefully change into something more interesting in the future.3 -

I've killed plenty of "one who knows what they are doing in pvp" types using bow.
Tip for my bow friends: Acid Spray cannot be reflected.

Idk wich class are you , you should be new to pvp , because every dragonknight using scales can makes archers useless , just use roll dodge next to the attacker or near a safe spot, there are plenty ways to fight an archer. Ofc for quick surprise attack bow is pretty effective.0 -

You don't specify the circumstances but judging from the lack of dead horse near your poor corpse I'm assuming you didn't get annihilated on horse-back, that doesn't mean people can't get sneak attacks off of you though. Regardless of impen trait sneak attacks ALWAYS grant bonus damage, crit and stun. If I'm 180degrees behind you and snipe you and you're not holding block I'd likely hit you for that amount or more on snipe as well. In the time the arrow is flying I will then weave a light attack/inject as many times as I can till you're dead.
And I don't agree with Khallisi saying snipe wasn't nerfed. Travel time of the arrow increased, damage lowered by 150 (on my bar) and the unknown variable of sneak dmg against players (I haven't tested this variable) I would say it's definitely nerfed burst potential which relies heavily on snipe. Snipe is still good, definitely. But you can't charge a full heavy during snipe flight time, it's too fast now. Snipe still has large damage potential, but burst from opening is weaker (still viable).

When you say it like this, you make it sound like you've tested it. Have you? I actually have. I have the shadow stone mundus, and I also can wear a 5 piece legendary v13 archer's mind set.
Shadowy disguise shouldnt even be mentioned. Stealth attack with snipe is a guaranteed crit just like shadowy disguise is.
EDIT: Been watching this tonight not going over about 2k with a perfect snipe.
