Ah well, if we want to feel even more depressed; here is a little video on how the PvP in this game was supposed to be.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQFxE4AESn4

    :)
I guess the closest you can get to that was beta... and even though beta had its issues, it wasn't that bad as the game is now. PvP these past few months is an absolute joke, half of my guild/friends list have been offline for 3+ months even, and I don't blame them. I suppose if 1.5 wont bring anything good, the rest will follow.

So people were supposed to RP in PvP?

Geeze ZOS get off your butts and fix the Cyrodiil issues. Frozen screens, crashes to desktop, invisible weapons, unable to open doors, share quests, low frame rates and the list goes on. Oh but you can find the time to nerf skills and classes which is really important stuff. Countless players have time and time again provided information and screen shots documenting the issues yet they remain unsolved. Whats the problem? If you don't have the folks that can solve the countless issues then hire folks that can. If you are going to charge a monthly fee then fix the the issues or stop charging a fee.

The pvp doesn't balance skills. Everything you've specifically listed I believe they can work on. They've released several updates that fix some of the issues, but alas, new issues can and will arise. To be fair, they are aware of new issues that are causing lag and crashes, but have addressed other issues that caused these problems and are working on fixes for the low fps and crashes.

Why do you defend ZOS they have had over 7 month to fix these issues.

Did you try the handle? :p

To OP they have already stated that they are working on it so I guess the number of complains has been reached already. Maybe we will get a prize for closest number so 437

EU thornblade here. I've had it with Cyrodiil. Honestly, the amount of frustration that I get from "playing" there doesn't equal the fun I get from it. I simply refuse to do that crap anymore before some serious *** gets fixed. I'll stay in PvE for a while, or is it forever?

Can ZOS please clarify if they feel able to fix the issues or if their engine and server simple cannot handle all the strain? Seriously the silence, [snip] infuriates me. Just acting as if there's nothing wrong, showing off small scale pvp but holding it the *** away from us?!

Every night on Thornblade NA at around 8pm EST, I start freezing in big battles then get logged out, and it takes me about 30 minutes or more to log back in, every night for the past week.
I wish this was fixed, if having too many players cause this then at least reduce the max population until it's resolved.
I'm a man of few words. Any questions?

we have waited for quite some time for a fix to the ridiculous lag that makes it almost unplayable....

this is nothing like dragons flying backwards. the crap we complain about on here actually BREAKS THE GAME CONSTANTLY. and with skyrim, you did not pay a monthly fee, here, you do.

The PS3 problems with Skyrim had nothing to do with dragons flying backwards.

PS3 players were up in arms for months because they paid for a game and could not play it due to horrible lag. Players were reporting that the game lagged horribly and the lag got worse the longer they played it, to the point where it was unplayable.

While BGS struggled to fix Skyrim on the PS3, Dawnguard and Hearthfire were released for XBox and PC. PS3 owners waited and struggled with "nightmare" lag in the base game. Skyrim was released in November 2011 and they finally closed the books on the PS3 performance problem and released all of the waiting add-ons to the PS3 players in February 2013, 16 months after initial release.

The PS3 owners did not just sit back and read a magazine while this was happening. They were pretty vocal, to put it mildly. It obviously did not help fix it faster, at least not by any reasonable definition of the word "faster." Sometimes these things take time to fix, no matter how much we want them to be fixed faster.

I have no doubt that BGS took this very seriously, and I have no doubt that ZOS is taking the Cyrodiil crashes and lag seriously.

I am not saying "don't complain." I am saying that people should not expect the amount or severity of the complaints to make things happen faster. ZOS does not have 16 months to fix Cyrodiil, and they know this, so hopefully more performance and crash fixes will be coming soon.

Paul Sage will be participating in a Q&A on Friday's ESO Live show and ZOS is soliciting questions for him. You can submit them in the Twitch chat during the show or you can provide them right now in the thread below:

    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/136876/q-a-with-paul-sage-on-eso-live-4

I suggest we all craft some good Cyrodiil/PVP questions to increase the chance that he will speak to at least one of our concerns.

Good luck. ZOS has been stating they were going to fix issues in Cyrodiil for months. Yet the same ole crap. In my opinion they are stalling. I don't think they can fix Cyrodiil and don't want to loose a vast number of players by coming out and admitting it.

but if I don't see cloak fixed in the next 10 months, I will make the biggest QQ thread(if im still here) you will ever see. It will be glorious!

How many of these complaints were from activities on Thornblade? How many from ANY other campaign? Maybe if people spread out to another campaign or two instead of trying to crowd one we would have less of these issues.

First of all no It doesn't You can easily get large enough battles to lag out on any of the campaigns. Second if they cant handle it why does ZoS set the pop cap that high then?

lag has nothing to do with a bugged out ability, though it does make things worse.

It does not matter how many more times people complain. They are already working on it and the number of new complaints can't make them work on it any faster. They are saturated.

Look how long it took BGS to fix Skyrim on the PS3. It took months, and it was a top priority. I am certain that Cyrodiil is a top priority for ZOS. Sometimes these things just take time.

Waiting may not be a popular course of action, but nothing the players do, even quitting, will speed it up.

Tell you what, everyone quit playing and paying and see how long it takes to get this stuff fixed. They joke should be on them. Plus, I swear they cheat for AD. That is the primary crash time when we are taking one of their keeps, CRASH. Rollback, they have the keep and everyone else is either back at the start or dead.

IMO its a lost cause. This game was advertised as an MMO with a large endgame AVA. SO much so I remember the forums loaded with people asking if there was any PvE at all.

They realized the tech wasn't there for their vision and aborted. Focused on endgame PvE to save the sinking ship.

    Just my opinion though.

How true. Both trailers that came out for ESO were fights between the 3 factions. Basically touting that it is a massive PvP orientated game. Shame on you ZOS for bait and switch, will be unsubbing soon. Others will follow.

The joke will be on you. If everyone stops playing and stops paying, it will take forever to fix the problems. Literally. They will simply stop working on the game, close the servers, and move on to a different project.

Fortunately, that will not happen, at least not any time in the near future.

Watch the ESO Live show. They not only told what the problem was, Sage described it in an amazing amount of detail. It was a rare disclosure and I hope people were paying attention. (I have not seen that it has sunk in yet)

Game should be the one balancing the servers, not players!!!

All campaigns act the same, Thornblade EU is just leading the pack with having most population and thus most issues are visible at once. When Azura Star EU campaign was delivered it worked fine for whole ONE day and soon after started to show same issues as Thornblade, just less frequent due to less population. Same goes for Haderus.

Ye, it would be nice to spread pop a bit, but that is not something you can do from player side in current state of game with home and guest campaigns locked. I get the idea behind Home campaign and its fine (as long buffs stays in pvp), but asked bunch of people what is the point of Guest campaign and still got no answer.

In current state, people are paying premium money for game but still can get locked out of pvp action, and if pvp is their game... locked out of game:

Home - Haderus (playing when blues come to play, else dead campaign)
Guest - Thornblade (playing when que allows it. more and more often is 50+, 100+, 150+ position in que)
can't join due to home/guest lock - Azura
can't join due to home/guest lock - Chillrend

Yes, you can join those by randomly teleporting yourself to some guild member that may or may not be at one of other campaign, but that is not solution to the problem as few people even know for workaround or care to bother.

Seven months have passed since launch and they couldn't try simple fix by lowering campaign population in half to see how it will act. You should be able to que for any campaign and game itself should balance out population by joining you to one not capped, and also to balance out population per each alliance.

I like the idea of 200 people fighting each other for castle or at open battlefield, but what is the point of 200 people fighting for one keep as there is no skill involved in it, only who bash buttons better in zerg or having less game issues at the moment? Class/build imbalance makes this even worse, with common sight of DK jumping in middle of 20 enemies and not dying for minutes, while killing bunch in the process.

    Fixes:
    - Lower current pop cap to 2 bars (3 bars locks campaign)
    - Remove guest campaigns as there is no use for them, only problems, or to say in other words each campaign that is not your Home campaign is guest campaign.
    - Players should be prioritized for que at home campaign (mandatory)
    - Players should be given option to be auto-assigned to less populated campaign

    Additional fixes:
    - Introduce smaller scale objectives that will force zergs to split and give some variety in Cyrodiil. Don;t think it was planned for keeps and emperors to change so frequent. Soon there will be more Former Emperors than active players.
    - Ton of other ideas posted by other people here on forum, but game performance in Cyro needs absolute priority.

I'm certain those 3+1 simple steps would make a huge difference on how server/campaign performs, and once it stable they can gradually increase caps to get to the point they advertised pre-launch.

Game should be the one balancing the servers, not players!!!
