ESO Update 5 or Warlords of Draenor

Hey guys,
are you staying with ESO and Update 5, coming mid of November or are you already looking for another "Home" to play? How long will you give ZOS to solve issues like Camps, Block Casting, Buff Campains (in Future Buff Imp. City)?

I stick around but I was also gifted a free month of wow including WOD not sure though if I will play it.

In general WOW is a bit more "finished", you notice this especially if you quest, use the achievement system or things like pets, toys. Its all more fluent and easier to handle.

At ESO its quite complicated, a lot of leg work involved and its a huge gaming world where you don't want to miss anything so that you often play for an hour without gaining any xp

On the other hand, it can be quite a shock if you log into WOW and see the dated graphics or get in touch with the community which is extremely rude, be it in the forums or in dungeon groups. Besides that WOW does crash a lot since the WOD patch, ESO had that issue to with 1.4 so even a 10 years old game isn't free from bugs and faulty programmer work.

The biggest issue with ESO in my opinion is the fact that so many features are coming in 2015 that playing right now feels a bit like a waste. You know there is a justice system, new spells and a general overhaul so that you want to experience this on a new char and not just the old ones at max VR. Since we are so limited in regards of char slots it feels wrong to invest too much into the game right now - this problem WOW doesn't has as you can have 50 chars there and pretty much start from scratch whenever you want.


If we talk about the companies then I think ESO has a lot to learn if it comes to "promising" things (don't promise what you cant deliver) while Blizzard could learn from the good community work of the ESO staff. Besides Bash Blizz has no real connection with its community, we however have Gina, Jess or Kai and the others who talk to us and keep us up to date, besides that ESO live is a huge thing and success in my opinion.

I'm sticking with ESO. The new WoW expansion probably has way more content that ESO's update 5 does but I don't and probably never will play WoW so that's not an option for me. Nor are there any other MMOs that interest me at the moment. However, since certain aspects of 1.5, the past couple of updates, and the way Zenimax "fixes" their game has rubbed me in the wrong way, I am starting to consider thinking about alternatives.

Teso is one of the best MMORPGs outthere, i have ever played, so it is . I am hot for all the Updates, because they change and offer a lot.

Hell, Update 5 is cool and the incoming Justice System / Spell Research / Championpoint-System is *YEAAAHH* .

If i would leave every MMORPG for another, only because i dont like some Changes or have to wait, the Games wouldnt have a Chance.

Stay loyal new Generation and Kids outthere, i know thats a strange Word but it gives you many, if you are Brave enough to try it .

Dont throw all away because only you can get something cheaper at the next Corner .

BTW, who in the *pieeep* wants to play Wo*, this Game is dead, only raises his cold and muddy Hands to get some Money from the Addicts, this Game has produced .

Hum , i dont really play ESO much currently , tending to mediocre in my view now , but i still pay the sub in hopes it will by some miracle get better.

Still also not interested in playing WoW and didnt hear of any other MMO right now that im interested on.

So for me now it is mostly other games , usually that steam provide, dear god i got some many games to complete there...

I don't see anything particularly interesting in WOD nor anything that remotely addresses the problems I have with the game. (Particularly, the cookie cutter designs.) I'd rather stick around and get something that has the possibility to give me something actually more or less improved as opposed to more of the same stuff.

I tried every single WoW addon so far. But Draenor is the first one, I'm really not interested in.

I will get back to FFXIV in spring for their addon, but I will still play ESO during that time as well

I don't see block casting as a bug Spartans could hold their shields up and destroy their enemies with their spears. Don't see the difference.

Personally, I'll be playing Dragon Age: Inquisition in four weeks. Might take a month off from ESO and you couldn't give me a million dollars to play WoW.

They didn't block 360 degrees and only did it with a shield, not a staff, there's tge difference you seem unable to see

Definitely sticking around for Update 5.
As @Babylon mentioned, there are no new games that look interesting coming out soon.

- Also, regarding WoW, I really dislike it, I find it to look very childish and unprofessional for such a large based game.
I would rather wait for Update 5 than try a game I'll probably hate.

I will stick with ESO.

I played WoW a while back and did enjoy playing it for a while. I did look into what WoD brings to the table but unfortunately they are destroying more of what I had liked about WoW. Their developers are taking that game in a direction I'd prefer not to go.

Besides, ESO has pretty much spoiled me. I tried a few other MMOs because I wanted something else to be able to play alongside ESO, but everything else is so boring now.

You won't make ZOS remove the 360 degrees block nor should they. And since staffs don't exist IRL, it's up to the game makers to decide if the mere fact of holding the staff in your hands is enough to cast spells even while blocking.

Don't like it, don't use it.

Edit: Oh and WoW sucks.

Despite all its troubles, shortcomings and "fails", ESO has nothing to do with WoW, and Update 5 looks fairly promising.

I don't need WoW or other games at the moment.

I have so much to do in ESO. I am not Veteran 14, so I have to leveeeeeeeeel. And there is so much to do: Dungeons, trial hardmodes, craglorn quests, achievments... I just don't know what I should do first

And then comes Update 5 with new features: undaunted sets and so on... ooooooh my god. Much more to do

So thanks ZOS, I have enough to do and already enough fun with ESO and my guildmates.

I'm not voting cause I'm totally going to play BOTH.

WOW is my first love, and I will not miss the release of the new expansion. Draenei is my favorite races, and we will have plenty of Lore around what happened on Draenor, I'm very excited about the Lore part of the expansion. I also hope to get back to raiding, and to explore the new feature such as garnison etc...

ESO is my new love. I will not leave this game: I love everything about it and it fit my personality perfectly. The only default ESO have: my boyfriend doesn't like it. So I need a second game to play with my boyfriend

Good for me, the community I lead, Whitestar, have guild in ESO, WOW and ArcheAge. So I stick with same persons atleast!
