I am constantly broke. I can't seem to find anything worth selling. I have been playing for months and it takes me weeks to just get up enough scratch to repair my gear...forget about buying anything new. I play almost every and am a Level 46. What's the secret?
Please e-mail me if you can help. kellynmark@att.net

You are set for the best farm area in the game, the Vile Laboratory in Coldharbobor. There is a road with 3 main zombie spawn points, kite them and kill them and farm the loot. In a few hours this weekend I looted 400 items for decon (that I could have sold for about 20,000 or more) and gained about 8000 gold (half of which went for repairs) along with tons of skill and character exp.

If your not sure of the pattern, then watch the others. I will say that if there are more than a group, two is about max, then the spawn points don't work as well in the pattern. Come back later or join up with who is there.

Then, there are the Public Dungeons. Those are available in at most levels as you go through the game. Run around between spawn points killing and looting.

Note your not going to sell the loot in the guild stores, your selling it to a Vendor for base prices. Keep what you need for research, sell the rest to a vendor. Remember, your goal is not to maximize each transaction, but to get gold as fast possible.

In fact, Sanguines Demense (sp?) is a great Public Dungeon, it has a Merchant inside to sell and repair, so you never have to leave.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Guilds are also a good way to make money. Check the guild's sales history. Look for a high volume of transactions, and look to see if the guild has a trader to sell outside the guild. Look at what items sell frequently and/or for large amounts. Then it's time to farm for what to sell. Tempers sell well and high. Glyphs do well if not overpriced. Sell hireling items that you don't use. Sell raw ores instead of refined mats. Also find a treasure chest loop and run it for gold, soul stones and equipment that you can sell.

Raw materials does command at least twice as much a stack of 100 than refined materials. You just have to balance this with the Tempers you will give up not refining them yourself. For the record, Refinement is one of the only ways to get Tempers besides Hirelings and Decontructing something that has that Temper. But you typically only get one Temper for a deconstruction, even if it is Blue or Purple or Gold. I have gotten multiple Tempers from Hirelings, sometime even two stacks of tempers (not 100 stacks just Blues and Purples for example)

(you might get more than one temper sometimes from deconstruction. I just tend to zoom through my list when deconstructing without paying too much attention to what each item gives me. But I have not noticed multiple tempers per say when doing just a couple things)

This is a great dungeon for running a loop and farming.

It sounds like I won't come into much gold until I get close to or at lvl 50 for farming those locations. Leveling up has been a pita for me due primarily to bag/bank space and having to run everywhere on foot. A basic horse is 17k :o I think. The first bag and bank upgrade seemed pretty expensive, but then the subsequent upgrade costs were shockingly high. I don't see how I'll ever be able to afford a horse or even storage space. Does everyone just level the first character to 50 without a horse or storage?

This game has the worst storage space of any game that I've ever played, and I've played several. I don't recall any of them being this restrictive. I feel like each character should have it's own exclusive bank and then the current bank should be used exclusively as a shared bank and/or profession material bank. WoW's new reagent bank has 98 slots just for crafting in addition to your normal bank space. I think my ESO bank is like 70 slots shared across all alts. Seems ridiculous to me. Over 50 of my slots are crafting materials. I spend over an hour a day just trying to manage inventory.

It feels like the devs are artificially restricting us for some reason like they can't handle the database requirements or something. I don't know, I'm just guessing, but I do know that it's very frustrating. This thread wasn't about storage space though, it's about getting gold I guess, but the entire reason I, personally, need gold is for a horse and storage.

Luminary Transporter addon is also a good way to get to any zone you have access to. User friendly, and no more cost to port when not at a wayshrine.

There is a Grind area in each zone in the game. Just not as compact and quick to respawn as the Vile Lab does. If you search out Leveling 1 to 50 on Google or Youtube, you will see where the areas are. The only difference is your Farming, which means you stop to loot the mobs instead of running on to kill the next one.

Also every zone has a public dungeon, not all are good for farming, but most are. So, you have plenty of places to farm for loot efficiently.

Just to note, the Mobs at the Vile Lab are L46, so perfect for you. If your DC or AD look me up tonight (I will be on briefly this evening or a lot more tomorrow evening) I can get you there and show you the pattern.

In the mean time find the Public Dungeon for the zone you are in, get with a group (Grouped or just tag along) and then you can get what you need.

For example, Crimson Cove and The Vile Mansion were the farm spots I used until I got to Coldharbor. Both of those are in the AD

I truly appreciate your help. I don't know what AD or DC means. I live in California and I just checked to see if you were online. You weren't. Tonight is Game 2 of the World Series and our team, San Francisco, is trying to win game 2. So I' won't be on too long myself tonight. It's 4:00 pm right now.

It's the Alliances, as players need to be in the same alliance to group up.

    DC Daggerfall Covenent
    AD Aldemeri Dominion
    EP Ebonheart Pact

My EP character is L4 standing in a snowbank on Bleakrock, so he is of no help to anyone, even me.

I will be on tonight, Thursday, sometime after 7PM your time. I have some real world things to do until then. Friday I will on most of the evening.

I see you sent me a question but I am not sure exactly what you were asking me about, so send it again.

there are 3 daily quest hubs in Cyrodill , each quest hub has 2 quest givers, that give 5 quests each, each quest gives exp and 302 g per completion.

at vet 1 the quest gives 12k exp and 302 gold, at vet 5 it gives 21k exp each and 302 gold. you can finish all 10 quest at each quest hub in around 30 min each .

if you do all 3 quest hubs daily , thats over 9k gold a day for a couple hours .

Then there are also the scout and capture, kill enemy players quests too.
