I was hit with 2500 damage by a werewolf is this normal?

He was outside a keep and killed me like 3 times with his 2500 damage. I was trying to use a shield or run, but it was over in a second.
Is this normal?

Not sure. Is it possible the werewolf ate his Wheaties, though? That might do it.

I personaly don't know but i would gladly die by a werewolf in PvP cause I'm am tired of dieing by blocking-firey-impule-bats... and can we please call them lycans since they can freely change between human and wolf forms. Cause the "were" curse mean the can not control changeing and need a special reqierment to change into beast form be full moon or a chant or something like that.

OP... The only way that could happen is if you weren't blocking and he sneak attacked you with heavy attack.

Meh close enough all I know is were beast can not change freely at there own will.

Lycanthropy, funnily enough is all breeds of werecreatures, be it boars, bears, lions or several other rumored werecreatures.

In essence, just because Underworld made it mainstream to call werewolves for "Lycans" doesn't mean that Nirn uses the term. Espically since Lycanthropy is used for all werecreatures, which then obiviously would make the word "Lycan" a short word for werecreatures in general, and not just werewolf, at least if we have to make sense out of it from a lore perspective.

You can't sneak as a werewolf.

Also, 2500 is insane. That... I don't know how to do that. Maybe with Rousing Roar? But, I don't think even it will push you close to that from 3 attacks.

Sometimes the death info shows compiled damage from some attacks. I have been hit for 2000 DMG before from power overload sorc ultimate. Maybe it was something g like that. Or maybe the OP just mad about upcoming g werewolf buffs and trying to stir the pot

But please.. if you see this wolf next time... could you ask him kindly, how he does it?
Because right now on PTS i don`t do much damage...
Perhaps he buffed Momentum and stuff, before he transformed?

I am thinking about possibilities of maxing out my WW on PTS. Armorsets, skills, precasts etc...

Please check your gear. Have you enough armor and crit resistance? Was your gear repaired?

Don`t get me wrong, it would be awsome, if WW has some ways to get effective...

Werewolf damage scale of stamina. I don't remember the new abilities and passives tested in PTS, but my guess is a combination of high stamina with new passives/actives.

Can't wait to try the new werewolf myself. I might actually slot it for times to times

Hey, the Damage not only scales by Stamina, but also from weaponpower (in Patch 1.5 it should).
There are other factors, who can drastically change the dmg, you can apply to a target:
- spell/armor penetration
- crit
- haste
- Target weaknesses
- Buffs on you and debuffs on target
- (Regeneration and the fact, that you dont have to move/ dont have to fear, that you loose your stand/ your WW form anytime --> The need to devour)

There are some things who can affect your damage.

Now, since you can easyly reach the caps of both stats (stamina and weaponpower), you want to know a few things:
What attribut gains more damage for you, even if it is above the cap? Stamina or Weaponpower? What is better on your weapon; armorpenetration or haste?


Don`t forget, that in pvp there are a lot of ppl, who are capped @ spellresistance, but have less than 1k armor because 80% of the damage in PVP are magical attacks. That is a factor, that gladly has to and will change, when stamina builds do more damage.

Now with the Undaunted, there comes a bunch of very strange sets. They want to strenghen mixed/hybrid builds. It would be awsome to have some stamina armor sets.
(One set is improving your weapondamage, after casting a magicka spell, in ww that could mean, you cast your healing to gain this buff). I am not sure if i approve.

But clear is, that certain things take away the possibilites of doing damage as a wolf. Especially after changing berserker.
You have to count in the breaks you need to feed. You have to count in the higher surviability you need to survive such a situation.

So either, we get to be longer in WW form, to do a good and steady amount of damage,
Or we need burst, to compensate the overall dps. (And the surviability).

The factor time is very underrated imho. Its an important thing and something only wolves have to be aware of in this concentration.
