Well, there's another problem if you lock trading/mail for Trial accounts, but don't block harvesting...

They'll just bot enough harvesting materials & then subscribe to sell them (if they haven't been banned), and they'll keep doing that, because it doesn't cost them anything.

Let the people use the PTS server as a trail server. They can help test the new content and also it helps to keep the gold farmers away from the main "Live" server.

You don't want people who aren't invested in ESO to have access and give feedback on the PTS server, let alone have the PTS server be their first impression of the game.

I agree. Though mouse's idea of isolating them from the rest of the game population could be do-able within the confines of the megaserver.
    • Have dedicated free-trial "servers" which all free-trial players are limited to.
    • Allow subbed players to join a freebulite (i.e. switch to their freebie "server") if grouped with them.
    • Allow subbed players to give things to freebulites.
    • Allow freebulites to give things to each other.
    • Don't allow freebulites to give anything to subbed players.
    • If transitioning from a tree trial account to a subbed one, mark ALL items in the player's inventory and bank as account bound.
That would let free trial players experience the real game and interact with subbed players they know but not let them have any impact on the real game's economy.
