Broken machanics of golden mats.

Right now i have an open ticket 141013-000623 but since CS absolutely useless i decided create this thread.

There are some topics where people talking about crafting mats they're receiving from hirelings. This amount vary for different players but i can say that there 2 types of us: those who recieving kutas etc. and those who not. I'm personally didn't receive kutas for example for several months and insanely low numbers of other gold mats, while some of guys says that they have even up to 30 kutas in a month)

So since zos declares the chance for gold mats rare and random, how its possible that someone getting them on a regular base but someone getting nothing? Does this mean that this chance is zero% and buged for some people? Or this mean that someone is lying?

So i'd like to ask @ZOS_GinaBruno or whoever can be responsable for the answer, what the hell is going on with hirelings and how this system should work? Answer please.

P.S. And a couple of rhetorical question: why am i have a feeling that i'm playing here not due to but despite of you? Why are a lot of my friends starts they're conversation with complaining about huge amount of bugs and feels constant annoyance from such of your behavior?

You can find Kutas out in the world as well as from the hireling. I had like 20 at one point, mostly from finding them.

I don't like whining threads but on this one I'm with you. I'm also in your case where I get no yellow mats. Over the past 3 months, I think I had probably 1 kuta, 2 dreugh wax and 1 temper.

As far as I can tell, that's 9 skill points wasted to get 5 void stones and a jejota each day

The only hireling that's even halfway useful is Provisioning because it's the only way to get oats and tomatoes. Every other type of hireling is utterly useless because the materials they provide can be found everywhere in the world and in greater numbers.

I have to say it's rather disappointing that with s V14 toon at level 50 in all crafts, you get rubbish mats from hirelings. They should be rare mats, such as purple and yellow mats. After 5 months of game time, I only have enough temper to craft 3 yellow pieces of heavy armor. It's rather pathetic

I get gold mats just about every other day... Maybe you should show the ESO gods a little more love... Maybe, offer up your first born.

I guess I'm the only one who gets good mats and the only NB who's cloak works reliably. Hahaha say it with me now "praise be to the all powerful Zeni!!!!" Come on, you want those tempering alloys, don't ya.

So now are you going to make a thread saying "someone gets a Kuta on a daily basis and I don't, what is wrong here?" or are you going to wonder If I'm BSing you or if I have 8 alts with Level 3 hirelings on enchanting?

Magnus, you have a point. But 1 kuta in 3 months with only one hiring? Wtf!

Hirelings are supposed to bring rare mats and prevent farming to an extent. For some of us it's completely useless

I only have 3/3 in echanting on my main and im getting kutas about 60% of the time.

thats the point man...no kutas at all for at least 3 months for me and many other ppl, the only explanation they'r dont care about this, wont fix this bug and fooling us around with "rare and random chances"

You need to have points in aspect extraction. I used to get Kutas all the time, then I respecced for the first time and didn't get any for 2 months until I learned of the aspect extraction bug.

Now I have my main and 2 alts at 40-50 enchanting and I make 2-3 Kutas a day. All of them have 3/3 aspect extraction and max potency.

If you have 0/3 aspect extraction you'll never get a kuta from a hireling.

You are wrong. There are people who win from lottery and people who don't but there are no people who win jackpot everyweek.

And if that were a good example, I'd totally be in agreement with you. But this isn't the lottery, and there isn't just one jackpot.

By contrast, when people go to Vegas, some have a lucky streak with the slot machines, and some don't. You don't have any data on how many people are seeing lots of legendary mats in their hireling mail (for example, I used to get them every week or so, but my hirelings have become mean this past week), so you have no idea how common (or not) your experience is.

Random is random. That means that some people will be lucky for a period of time, and others will be unlucky. If you want to greatly increase your chance of getting legendary mats for everything except enchanting, then just refine materials. There's no limit on how many legendary mats you can get from that.

Kutas drop roughly 40% of the time with max extraction and enchanting and 3/3 hirelings. When you're dealing with such a high drop rate streaks and things become less relevant over a couple week period of time.

You have no idea what you are talking about. I don't have any probs with legendary mats, I get some every week so I know they are not rare. If someone says they have not gotten any for MONTHS, there clearly is something wrong and it is not just about luck.

This would be less - far less - annoying were it clear that putting those skill points that they returned to you for rune extraction need to be put back into rune extraction to have any chance at gold aspect runes.

But it's not clear that this is true. Nor is it clear that skill points in other crafts, beyond the raw crafting level, influence the quality of hireling deliveries.

All we have just now in dueling anecdotes. And not very pleasant ones. In another similar topic one otherwise thoughtful forum citizen called another a liar.

The solution is simple. We need a systems designer who's looked under the hood to post a summary of how this system works in the same manner and detail the combat systems and skills are explained.

Don t forget, if I work in support and you send me a mail saying, over 3 month i got not kuta form hireling... what do I do with that??

Tell me, I have a main wiht x in enchanting, x in each enchanting skill 3/3 in hireling, and on the last 90 hireling mail I have x ta, x jejota, x rekuta and no kuta. I find it strange.
Then I for sure would pay more attention to your request.

Same, if someone post I receive a kuta per day, ask him number of alts and point spend in enchanting on each.

I'm just curious as to how many hirelings they have vs how many hirelings you have. One would think that with more hirelings one would have a greater chance of getting Kuta.

As a side note, you can also get Kuta from fishing (wet gunny sacks).

Gotta disagree with this, I have had max extraction enchanting and 3/3 hirelings on two chars and I haven't seen a Kuta in weeks (then again, I looted 2 Kutas in a heavy sack in AA just the other week), I highly doubt the chance is 40%.

IMO it's just random, some people are lucky some are unlucky. I've gotten 6 Dreugh Wax's in a row from mail these las few days, some days I won't get anything. I looted 4 nincruxes in 2h last week, haven't looted any in 3 days. It's RANDOM.

People should stop QQing...

I get 9 enchanting hirelings a day. 3 of those have 0/3 aspect extraction and have never given me a kuta.

I use all of the potency/<Kuta aspects I get to help level my other alts. Eventually I have 7 fully leveled enchanter alts. The hardest point is farming all the skillpoints.

ok hope you're right, as i said i already tried this, 3 skill points has been invested into rune extraction but no kutas during 1 week, ok did it again and lets increase control period for 2 weeks..will see... once and if this ever happens i will recieve first kuta, i will not forget say thanks to you and update this post, of course appreciate your helpful comments right now...

That also has a random drop rate which is even worse than the Kuta's

3 elements to getting Rekutas and Kutas from hirelings.

1) The higher level you are, the better. (Character level, not enchanting rank).

2) 3/3 Runestone extraction is ABSOLUTELY necessary

3) 3/3 Hireling also necessary.

I get 14 enchanting hireling mails per day. 6 characters have 3/3 hirelings, 3/3 Runestone extraction (some are only rank 32, others are 50, some have 4/4 Aspect, some have 1/4). Other two characters have 2/3 hirelings and never get purple or gold.

From those 14 hireling mails, I'll get a minimum of 2 or 3 Kutas per day. The best I've gotten is 6 Kutas and 3 Rekutas in one day.

Level, Runestone extraction 3/3 and Hireling 3/3. That's the formula.
