How come I'm always on the same phase with my non-grouped friends now?

A couple of updates a go phasing issues seemed to disappear for me. And I'm not just talking "group" phasing. It used to be, I often couldn't see friends until we grouped and then traveled to friend. But now--I always see my friends, even when not grouped. Can't even remember the last time my wife wasn't in the same phase with me after logging in, whereas before it seemed every other time she wasn't visible. I realize the initial influx of players has subsided, but even on a busy night this holds true. Is this a result of some change that gives preference to putting friends on the same phase? Less players? Larger phase capacity? Or am I just imagining this and others are still seeing phasing issues that make their friends sometimes invisible?

Couple things I've been thinking. First is that they finally managed to make the game to check who are the people in your friends and guild and place them in the same instance if possible.

Other one which also goes hand in hand with the couple updates ago could be that they have reduced the servers which then more easily puts people in same phase but also causes more lag, latency and instability. And this if of course because of cost reduction as they are not needing as much servers they used to host the numbers of current player base.

Well, I'm certainly hoping for the former! The latter possibility is depressing.

Oh, that's so cute you play with your wife. You know what they say "the couple that play together, stay together."
