The thing is, you would have to find a site that calculates the numbers based on your build, and that information is only found inside the game, so the addon is actually more practical.

no soft and hardcaps are race and build independent - only your actual values(after evtual dimnishing returns when within the softcap values) depend on those informations.
my low level Templar was capping on armor, so I wanted to see where it would make sense to make adjustments.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying that the soft and hardcaps don't change at all through levelling? Or that an Orc Templar will have the same soft and hard caps as a dunmer DK at the same level?
