NO LOOTABLE WARLOCK RINGS v12 : buy them at insane prices

I'm looking to buy set of Warlock Rings v12 since 2 weeks and the first guy that I saw selling them was for insane prices.

Why would zenimax remove a useful item to many builds from the loot table ? ? Why would I have to pay 170k for 2 rings ?

I will never pay 85k for a single ring when it's already in the game. Some people can use it because they paid or they already had them. So I'm restrained to buy them at that price it's ridiculous.

Also there's one of that ring selling for 250k at Belkarth guild vendors.

Here's the link I get for that item. Devs could go see in the source code of eso where it's missing I don't know:

    In the German forums, there is the same discussion. And somebody said, she got the ring just last week in AA. So, obviously they are still there. They just don't drop that often anymore.

    then will I have to do AA all day and have 1/500 chance of getting one ring ? Then I need 2 rings ! so do a hundread more trials.

    I say put more loot chance to that specific item.

    Maybe it's like epic food recipes only dropping in trials, which was apparently unintentional. They noticed and fixed it recently, that's why the prices have gone way down. If we assume the same amount of time needed for this fix, these rings should get back to normal in just a few months. Rejoyce!

    There's always a fair amount of discrepancy between the actual changes and the patch notes. They've been bouncing the motif drop rates all over the place, so far, no word from them on what it is/was/or will be.

    Insane is a relative concept. Some people farmed many many purple books and have millions to spend. In that case it is not insane to spend 275 k on a ring. The purple recipes used to go for that amount all the time.

    What else is there really to buy with all that money? Unless you pvp a lot and resurrect all your buddies all the time, i can see you would burn stacks of soulgems that way.
    And stacks of crit potions, some guy told me he used 400 a day, that is 44 k a day on pots.

    The social divide between the rich and the poor workforce in eso is starting to show ...

    I am going to assume that the % of players who have "millions" of gold is probably very small.

    For most players, myself included, other than all the gold I accumulated while leveling up, it really doesn't come in very quickly. 275k is completely out of reach. I wouldn't make that in a month, or probably even three.

    The price of the rings isn't the point either. They should never have been taken off loot tables, or had their drop chance reduced.

    It is so frustrating as a player who does not own these rings to know that many players were able to get them for cheap, and now they are impossible to acquire. It wouldn't matter if there were other jewelry sets of equal usefulness... but Warlock jewelry is miles ahead of everything else, its not even close.

    Ok that is true, but we know zenimax keeps changing the drop rate for items all the time,
    Many people bought the purple recipes when the rings were cheap, for 250 k (for example the honey brittle)
    I remember an elite pvp friend of mine saying he thought it was a good deal when he bought it himself for 250k as they normally were sold for 350 k at that time.

    I missed out on buying the rings cheap (like 15 k because i was only v1 at the time) and decided to spend 97 k on a ring last week when i was v10.
    Now i am v13 and am glad i did.

    But on the other hand i have multiple purple recipes that i bought for only 15 k

    I bought my daedric and ancient elves for 15 k, never found any myself. A few weeks later the price shot up to 60 k, 85 k etc and they are sold for those prices.

    At the moment is see the same things happening again with the rings (also saw healer rings for sale for 90k)

    Is the bigger picture starting to show?

    That and I am going to assume a lot of people don't have the patience to deal with the horrible trade system this game has.

    I have never been an expert market watcher, but I was able to make a living just fine by selling goods in other MMO's, but not in this game... Going around to all the different kiosks to check prices and selling items on 3-5 different mini auction houses is bad enough.. having to spam trade chat kills it for me.

    I make a little from selling mats to a few populated trade guilds but I mostly do daily quests for gold, or quest on alts.

    A simple glance at the page views for warlock ring threads, the prices to buy them such as 444,000 gold, and rarity of them being for sale one can see that the drop rate is effectively 0.

    Either the drop rate is bugged or we are being led into thinking it is still an accessible item because it has an undisclosed but obviously improbable drop rate.

    The first warlock ring thread had 3.7k views and not one person could confirm it dropping in a months time. The ring is effectively removed from the game. Just saying it has a low drop rate does not make it effectively in the game. Right now it is "in the game" only by technicality not reality.

    If anything we should be adding jewelry to all the sets. This set is one of the rare few that lets you get 5/5. A lot of the 5 piece bonuses are not good enough to stand alone, this is why there should be more ways to get 2 5set bonuses.

    Where are you guys finding these insane prices? What is see is more like no signets at all for any price. Not on my guilds,not in any guild kiosk anywhere and not in zone chat.

    Didn't realize it but the price I quoted was for a V11, lol! I guess we don't actually have any proof at all that there are any post 1.4 V12's selling. (not my pic but "Beesting"'s pic)

    In this situation, I would use the VR1 version of the Warlock Signet. You get the Set Bonus this way. The stats are down a little bit, but the set bonus more than makes up for it. Anyway, I have seen those selling for about 400G in Zone Chat. I just tossed two of them a couple of weeks ago to some game merchant.

    Then, if they ever adjust the loot tables you can swap it out.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Because the truth is, plenty of people are still rich from the item dupes and other exploits.

    I'm suggesting just that.

    A *large* portion of the playerbase didn't exploit dupes. I and many people I've played with became rich through long hours of grinding alts for hirelings, trading commodities at appropriate times, and establishing suppliers of base products at fair prices.

    As far as IRL perhaps you shouldn't comment on things you don't know firsthand.

    The only reason they are more costly is cause less people are farming them. AA trials used to be farmed for the weekly rewards and most who got the warlock set to drop have had it drop many many times so they sold them at ok prices.

    Now those players have moved onto arena so there are less farming AA and therefore there is less on the market. Basic supply and demand. If you really want them, make a farm group.

    It used to only drop from the first boss and people used to farm that boss for it. (then reset the group) Now it drops from trash in there (which people forget to loot)

    This was just another nerf to Magicka builds lol. Warlock makes Magicka builds so much more sustainable in situations where overusing spell symmetry is too much of a liability.
