In the German forums, there is the same discussion. And somebody said, she got the ring just last week in AA. So, obviously they are still there. They just don't drop that often anymore.

I don't see nothing in that thread telling us there's more in loots.
Zenimax kept us in the dark so long about this. We want to know the truth what happened to warlock rings v12 and when they gonna fix this problem.

We can confirm that the ring is, in fact, dropping from enemies in the Mage Trial, at an (intentionally) low rate. However, note that it only drops from regular monsters, not from any of the bosses.
We're always reading the forums and taking feedback under consideration, though, so we may consider adjusting the rates in the future.
Insane is a relative concept. Some people farmed many many purple books and have millions to spend. In that case it is not insane to spend 275 k on a ring. The purple recipes used to go for that amount all the time.
What else is there really to buy with all that money? Unless you pvp a lot and resurrect all your buddies all the time, i can see you would burn stacks of soulgems that way.
And stacks of crit potions, some guy told me he used 400 a day, that is 44 k a day on pots.
The social divide between the rich and the poor workforce in eso is starting to show ...

Where are you guys finding these insane prices? What is see is more like no signets at all for any price. Not on my guilds, not in any guild kiosk anywhere and not in zone chat.

It is funny how the poor are starting to mirror the poor IRL by accusing the rich of ill gotten gains. Most of the rich I know just play the markets, but low, sell high and establish trash which is the part of the game they enjoy.

Are you suggesting that a large portion of the playerbase didn't exploit bugs early on in the game's life and were never punished, giving them an opportunity to mass wealth that no longer exists?
Are you suggesting that there aren't a good number of figures IRL who became rich through ill-gotten gains?
Because the truth is, plenty of people are still rich from the item dupes and other exploits.
