Doesn't bother me. That's sort of realistic in a way, and if you decide to wear light armor and leave yourself vulnerable to arrows that's your choice.
This will work better with an armor overhaul though. Heavy armor needs to protect very well vs arrows and weapons, light armor almost not at all, and medium somewhere in the middle.

You mean the heavier the armour the better protection you have against weapons, and light armour gys better protection from magicka. I would push it more so heavy gives you a lot more protection against weapons and the same as medium against spells. But you're slower and cannot sneak.health regen
Medium gives better dodge ability, sneak, stam regen, but med protection protection against weapons and low against spells
Light gives good speed, sneak, but low against weapons, high against spells and may regent.
[Nothing ridiculous about there being archers in major battles. That complaint doesn't even make any sense. It's great to see archers becoming more popular or at least viable.
Or make it that the bonus for an opening sneak hit be a half or less of that of melee sneak hits. In previous TES games the ranged sneak crits did less damage for a reason.They only have to remove the sneak bonus DMG from Bows.
For me, Bows are the same as Destruction Staffs and Class Spells. Anytime Range DPS and like Spells, Bow Attacks shouldn`t get Sneak Bonus DMG.
As I see it. Sneak DMG is a bonus for Melee Skills, that brings themself into danger for moving into close combat.
Remove it and Bows are fine with the 1.5 changes.

I know, right!? Heavy armor "should" offeryg better protection vs physical attacks. It aslo "should" slow the person down wearing it. It "should" offer less protection vs elemental attacks, especially Lightning. It "should" reduce stamina and magika regen. I mean, as long as we're speaking of "shoulds."
All anyone seems to ever want in cyrodiil is that every other player is nerfed until they are weaker than them
