If you happen to be flushed with or are speced for stamina, Silver Bolts and all it's morphs completely ignore dragon scales. Ie...none of it is reflected.

DK as class, lack of long range skills, gap closer, and execute, beside this DK got any skill for almost any situation in the game.
DK must pay a price!
Just remember, when you use SA on any DK, world become's little bit better.

Also, considering the DoT from a single Soul Assault is ~800DPS, 3x800 = 2.4k. You'll take that as initial damage and then you'll purge but the 3rd DoT (unremoved) will hit you before you get to cast purge twice.
So even if you've got purge on your main bar and react instantly you'll still take 3.2k dmg, which will probably kill you. Never seen anyone survive a triple soul assault.

I agree with some parts of your post but this sentence I find funny. So the DK does not have half the stuff, but it has almost everything?
It has:
- Good instant melee damage skills
- Good heals and damage mititgation (via scales)
- Good PBAoEs
- Good CC
It doesn't have:
- Executes
- Any ranged spells
- Any escapes, you forgot escapes
However I agree with you, block casting is very strong in this game and makes S&B builds optimal for 3/4 classes.
ZOS said they are already looking at making changes to combat so there is balance between being defensive and being offensive so you can't do both equally well at the same time.
When those changes happen we can take stock again and see where the game's at.

I think what he is saying is that DKs don't get that stuff from their class abilities, but when you combine their class abilities with the ones that they can pick up from the weapon trees then all of a sudden they have seemingly everything with not really any disadvantages.
Next time a humble khajiit sees you clearing the walls in a siege they shall be happy to do as you request, oh leader of The Hovafriends.
They shall also endeavour to test out their trap skill to see how it fares. Purely for your entertainment of course as they would never be so rude as to wish to eradicate you for annoying them repeatedly. Never.
