Returning player - changes question(s)

Hello!
I played pre and at launch, but disappeared after the first month, because I got rather annoyed by people griefing (like bugging out the entreance to Couldharbour and asking for money to let you continue your story), bots, goldsellers and most of all duping I was unfortunate enough to witness. Happy to say that I haven't run into either nowdays, just as well it sems pretty lag free after the server was moved (EU).

Either way, before I get to continue my adventures 16 hours a day, could some kind soul answer a few questions about happening in the meantime / the future for this poor khajiit who is blind when it comes to searcing for information and reading trough updates? I would be very much gratefull.

First thing that came to mind - are Vampires now fixed or still broken? By broken I mean how stages 2 and 4 did absolutely nothing and the skills also did nothing half of the time.

Secondly, anyone heard any word about intorucing some sort of level downscaling system, so one can play in the starting areas "normally" and group up with new players without breaking the game, so to speak?

Third would be the general "Did something crucial happen that would change the general gameplay, compared to how it was at launch?".

Mini question - Is it just my feeling, or do Ultimates charge way fater than the used to?

Either way, please answer, say hi or send me to hell for being inept and searching!
Have a nice day :)

No downscaling, vampire is working pretty well. The changes are: you can pick up gear and weapon that you see in the ground/tables, the new chat bubbles that will come this month, dye system and some new combat improvements. There are some more also =)

    Glad to see you back!

    1) I don't play as a vampire, so I would not know :(
    2) No, but the difficulty has been decreased and it's a lot easier to solo through several areas now.
    3) Nothing crucial in one patch, but if you put all patches together, then it's a big change since the game first came out. Classes (while unbalanced) have been improved upon a lot. Craglorn, which is a whole new region with quests and trials, has been added. Multiple bug fixes and skill improvements. Guild stores as well as better guild functionality (that being guild dye and guild insignias on armor) have been added.

A lot more that I can't remember, but the game is getting better for each month. And there's a ton in store in the near future such as the facial animations being added, the justice system, new PvP region, and the champion system.

    Happy questing!

    Ok I'll try.

First Vampires, They fixed a lot of the bugs, but I think there are still some bugs there and they rebalanced Vampires and werewolves so some of the skills are changed slightly.

Second Downscaling, they keep saying it's on the list or in the works, but no actual news.

Third Overall, there have been numerous tweeks to the classes, skills, Vampires/werewolves, everything. It's hard to say if that counts as a major change, but lots of little changes do add up.

Ultimates-it varies from ultimate to ultimate, some are slower, but I have one on one of my characters that feels faster now.

Edit~I forgot about the Dyes, thanks @VictorBrav0 , the dyes make the armours much nicer, set up a decent colour scheme or two, and every piece of kit looks great. Check out the thread for showing off dyed armour.

There is also Dragonstar Arena(PvE), better campaign system for Cyrodil, lots of quests/delves reworked...and 1.5 is coming out tomorrow with new Dailies for dungeons(now scaling) and crafting...and much more(new animations, chat bubbles, stamina and werewolf buffs).

    Hello.

As for griefing, bots, gold sellers, and the like - I've been playing since July and I haven't seen any of it.

As for vamps, they suck (Haha!) - I don't play one, so I really can't say. :p

As for changes to the game, there have been lots just since I've been on board - you can check out all patch notes here.

    Welcome back.

    :)
