Auridon fishing - Blue Monkfish

I have been fishing Auridon for 3 straight days. I have used 600-700 (or more) worms and still have not caught this Blue Monkfish. Is there some trick to catching the blue rares that anyone has discovered? Is anyone else catching this particular fish? It's getting a bit ridiculous.

✭✭LOL, I feel your pain, but fishing is working correctly. I got my last fish and fishing title on 10/1. There were a few fish that just about made me quit, it seemed I would never catch them. Usually I would go fish somewhere else and get back to that elusive fish later. Just keep at it, sooner or later you will hook it.

✭600-700 worms? Some fish will make you use 1500 bait before you can catch them. Seems normal to me, praise the RNG0 -

That's all it is, is RNG. I was running through the last zones I needed Ma'iq for and there was a fishing spot nearby his spawn, so I figured I'd kill the 5 minutes I had to wait for him and in 6 casts I pulled all three of the rares for Auridon Ocean.
(Had similar luck with the Eastmarch fish as well, but it was closer to 12 casts and only 2 of the ocean rares.)
