ZOS, what do YOU need from US?

It's an all too common occurrence anymore. Suggestion threads, threads asking specifically for ZOS responses, serious issues.

Yet they only pipe up on minor issues and questions that could be answered just as readily by Google.

    I wish it were better.

So to kind of put a bookend on this subject. I came across this the other day:

    Hey there folks,

As always, we appreciate all of the feedback we can get in any way you can provide it, so thank you very much!

We'd also like to ask that these suggestions are submitted using the /feedback feature within the game. Our devs read each and every /feedback ticket that is submitted, so this is a great way to get your ideas heard as well.

    From here:
    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/comment/1341068/#Comment_1341068

So now I plan on submitting a /feedback in-game once a week with things I'd like to see in the game. I won't get responses from ZOS, but at least I know what I'm submitting will be seen by those that make the decisions about further game development.

I also plan on posting what I suggest in /feedback here on the forum for discussion or maybe discuss it prior to posting to iron out details and flesh out concepts.

It's not perfect, but it's better than I thought we had when I started this thread.

    May the eight be kind

Kudos to you madam/sir for having the desire and will to do so. I wish I was in the same state of mind as you are, but I can rarely justify my effort in giving feedback and suggestions to someone who doesn't even want to communicate to me about those and other things.

The community team at ZOS only really come here to police the forums. They will add the odd "yes we have more information on that next week la la la la la" but only on positive threads or threads that have definite resolutions forthcoming. Other than that it's just general forum moderation and deleting/closing/sinking threads that aren't constructive.

I think the weekly ESO live coverage is supposed to keep everyone here happy. Sure it covers only the things they can or want to cover or sell to us(ESO merchandise I'm looking at you!). But they do cover some issues and there is a bit of general fun poking at themselves here and there.

It's frustrating to those of us who just want this game to succeed, when they simply won't acknowledge major game issues we all know(weapon swapping, lag, etc, etc, you name it). Then there are lesser known issues like http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/comment/1340828#Comment_1340828

I watched http://www.twitch.tv/zenimaxonlinestudios/b/581386909 this weekend and finally found out why they are not using this forum as a way for communicating with us.
Just watch those three discussing questions. Every time someone mentions one of them comes from forums (more than just this one apparently), the temperature in the studio drops immediately. Just watch the main guy. He gets a new wrinkle every time he has to answer a question from forum(s).
I would guess it's not them that have problems with us and this forum. It's the main guy that is letting some previous bad experiences rule over him and thus his entire team.
It's so pathetic, you just have to laugh watching him barely restrain his contempt towards his customers simply because they are using this, ESO's forum.

I guess they don't expect to have semi intelligent customers paying $15 per month for a premium game service and an all inclusive Elder Scrolls experience. Those who continue to pester and request fixes.

They want "arr derp" customers forking over $15 per month for ocd exploiting game mechanics patched on to a broken, bug ridden themepark. *** game play, when you can just dangle a carrot?

The general forum has a mod comment about every 1/50 posts, the PTS forum has a mod comment every 1/10 posts. It gives an idea where they are focusing they're attentions atm.

Usually the days leading up to a major update the general forum will finally get some attention from mods. At least that is what I have noticed.

This further solidifies that they want us to comment on what they already have planned, not bring new things to the table. PTS is great for those of us with the time to invest into it but it shouldn't be PTS or nothing.
