Undaunted “Monster Helms” - Prepare thyself, for heroism of the Undaunted persuasion

"Undaunted “Monster Helms” will drop off the last boss in Veteran Dungeons while shoulders drop from Undaunted repeatable quests. These items add additional set bonuses and procs that will have interesting effects which synergize with the player’s abilities.

These helm/shoulder combos have one and two piece bonuses. Some examples of 2 piece bonuses include:

• Daedroth – Adds a chance to summon a Daedroth when you use Light and Heavy attacks.
• Spider Daedra – Summons a spider Daedra which snares and deals damage-over-time to enemies in the area
• Dwemer – Adds a chance to summon a Dwemer Sphere when you use abilities which will channel a beam which restores your Magicka, Stamina, or Health (random chance)
• Clannfear, Llamia Queen, Dreugh King

At first, these items will drop from the last boss in Veteran Dungeons, but adding these to Normal mode dungeons is on their to-do list."

I'm quite excited the the Spider Daedra one. I anticipate an army of Spider Daedra spreading the beauty of Mephala all over Mundus and beyond.

I really enjoy taking my time through the dungeons in this game, soaking in the story and thinking how my character would take everything, feel and so on. So yes, my character is looking forward to becoming an esteemed member of the Undaunted.

I think the most important thing, is how good the shoulders and helm will look.

If we're able to express our Undaunted splendour in Cyrodiil, with this two piece set, combined with another five set, maybe a two or three as well depending on how you itemise.

This could be really delicious. To see a siege with an assortment of savage Daedric siege beasts.

But then the item types.

Would Dwemer be heavy? Because automatons.

Would Daedroth be medium? Because monster-hide.

But then Spider Daedra? Well, I can't say light, because spider webs. You wear the beasts head after all.

Cool, with veteran dungeons do you mean 4 men dungeons? if so 1 more reason to do it and not only for the encounter or the skill point.

Yes, the four man group dungeons where you all have your own instance to go be heroic and Undaunted with.

I just hope that I don't end up going to the Undaunted chest ten times, only to get the same item ten times, that would make me confused. I dislike confusion.

Summoned daedroth will always with me till the death or for sometime? BTW @ZOS talked about undaunted helms on quakecon. Look at 1:13:20

i sure as hell hope so because im a nighblade duel wield and i have no plans of changing that.

They should be BoP. I mean they're literally proof you've killed a boss. Why wouldn't it be?

I have only done 2 Vet dungeons so far and it was great fun (banished cells and fungal grotto). I really want to do the rest, so hopefully now more people are willing to do it.

If they are BoP then it limits the repeatability somewhat because once you have the set you want you no longer have a reason to do dungeons. If they are boe then we can sell them to other players who do not want to do dungeons, such as solo players, PvE players, crafters etc. And so it provides a way for all characters no matter their play style to get them. Another option to at least keep them worthwhile would be to make them worth significant gold to vendors, but this causes inflation.

Why are all your posts center aligned? IMO that's really unpleasant to read, especially (but not only) on a phone.

Back on topic: I really liked the Dwemer one until I read "random". I know all of them are on proc and thereby unreliable, but with the effect also being random, chances are not only they will often be summoned when not needed, but when they actually proc at the right time, they might regenerate a resource you don't currently need.

How about they regenerate the one that's currently the lowest?

Because Spider Daedra represent the beauty of Mephala, no? I'm sure, given enough time, exposure to spiders, possible spider companions, perhaps a sermon of Mephala or ten, you'd grow to appreciate their beauty, elegance and grace.

But yes - I'm interested to see what the Harvester set, as soon in image one will do. If they all summon, summoning a harvester would be really great.

I think it would be cool if we could put together a whole hodgepodge set of armor made out of monster-parts as an Undaunted. I really like the Undaunted, and I hope they add a little something more to them, both in passives as well as give us something more in the way of story. I realize Dungeons are stories, but I get the sense Cadwell is the first one, or at least a very notable one. I'd just like to know more about who and what they are supposed to be.

Well, Cadwell is the oldest Soul Shriven, allegedly of course. Wouldn't be surprised if before he became one, long, long ago - he left a tablet which had a code on, likely a song actually, which detailed the glory and so on, of those that are Undaunted. But I don't expect anything regarding Cadwell's former Soul-Shriven existence, I like being surprised though.

Undaunted was always something I found interesting. It's looking to quickly become an integral part of my Boethiah smitten main. With two passives coming soon for Undaunted, the quests that reward keys and the monster helms that drop from end of dungeon bosses. I'm excited.

I was told that the passives will make me giggle due to how Undaunted they are.

Ah, also -

"I've had the oddest feeling we've discussed this before, or did I already mention that.? No matter. I am sir Cadwell the Undaunted. Knight of the court of Coldharbour, Champion of Chivalry, Defender of the Defenceless, Sheppard to the Soul-Shriven."

He should be made an honorary member at the very least. Cadwell is great.

I just hope they don't make us wait too long. Hopefully the road ahead comes soon.

There is a harvester mask as someone in Da Funk got one the other day on PTS. However it is does not summon a harvester, much more op than that. I don't have a picture but I'm sure one will come along eventually.

I think these look awesome as does everyone else but I am a bit worried that as they sound so OP that EVERYONE, every single player will end up wearing them, and when that happens it actually reduces choice and makes the game worse. Even for the look and with no effect at all I think most people would want one, with free summonings attached these will be more common than light armour and staves.
