Learning daedric crafting style

I know you have to have one crafting profession at rank 9 in order to learn the Daedric style, but will the other crafting professions have the Daedric style as well once I unlock them if I use the motif now?

For example if I'm 9/9 in woodworking and 1/9 blacksmithing right now and I use the motif, will I be able to make Daedric heavy armor if I get blacksmithing to 9/9 next week?

You can make Daedric Armor and Weapons at any clothing or material level.

    For example, Daedric Iron

    http://eso-fashion.com/daedric-iron/

    Daedric Homespun

    http://eso-fashion.com/daedric-homespun/

Here are the requirements for learning it:

Level of Metalworking, Tailoring or Woodworking required to learn: 9
    Requires level 50

Now, I don't know if the Level 50 is the Crafting Level or the Character Level. Probably the Crafting Level.

I learned Daedric a week or two ago. I had one crafting level at 9/9 the others were not 9/9 so it does not have to be all three to learn it. Also all three crafting levels were in the 40s none were at 50 so I think it means character level since I learned it on my VR character.

Since you are not supposed to get one of these until VR6, that makes sense. But, since this is dropped in the VR6/10 zones, it could have been either way as I would expect anyone who crafts to be at 50 a long time before this. If nothing else, from deconstructing the loot drops.

Yes its apparently character level, not crafting level. My VR2 learned Daedric with a 44 in Clothing, and no skill in Smithing or Woodworking.

Thats very possible. I just got my motif a month ago or so, but was able to use it right away. I have only crafted a breastplate so far since I didn't want to waste my Daedra hearts until I was max lvl, but it worked fine and I am still wearing it at the moment.

If they have made adjustments then I am super greatful. Man I can't even fathom how "urinated" I would have been to drop 30k on a motif and find out I couldn't use it after the fact!

They don't drop from enemies that I'm aware, you find them inside containers. The desks, chests, wardrobe cabinets and backpacks can contain them. Even those backpacks you find occasionally out in the field near the little camp sites can have one inside.

The Barbaric and Primal are found only in VR zones, and you can only find the Daedric and Ancient Elf motif in mid to high lvl VR zones. I think its VR 6 or higher but have seen others say 5 or higher.

Imperial can apparently be found at any lvl zone but they are super rare.

All other motifs can be found in any of the non-VR zones.

There is, sort of, a skill prerequisite for the purple motifs.

You need to have raised one of the perk trees, like tailoring or metalworking (I forget the woodworking one's name) to a specific threshold. Which also means you need to have raised the governing skill far enough to unlock that tier.

Primal requires one of the motif crafting schools at 25 with the ability to craft tier 6 gear (VR1-3) in that line.

Barbaric requires a crafting school at 30, with the ability to craft tier 7 gear (VR4-6).

Ancient Elf requires a crafting school at 35, with the ability to craft tier 8 gear (VR7-9).

Daedric requires a crafting school at 40, with the ability to craft tier 9 gear (VR10+).

The skill level is only a requirement to buy the perk. As far as I know, the books don't actually care about that.

Once you've read a book you can craft any item in that style (assuming you could craft it in the first place).

An FYI: I just found the Daedric motif book (#14) a few minutes ago, and I had to have one of my crafts a 9/9 before I was able to use it.

I'm not sure about the actual crafting level requirement because all of mine are already 50 (and 8/9 at the top of their respective skill trees) ... so I just bumped my metalworking up to 9/9, and I was able to use the book.

    (I'm so jazzed! Yay! :p )

You need 40 to advance any of them to 9/9.
