It appears the opinion on the Deadra wasn't quite so hostile at the time.
"Wonderful! Time for a celebration... Cheese for everyone! Wait, scratch that. Cheese for no one. That can be just as much of a celebration, if you don't like cheese. True?" - Sheogorath

They are blasphemies, which means they probably aren't true, and the fact they are backwards probably means they are supposed to be the reverse of the truth. (obviously some of them are true, especially the one about Molag Bals breath).

Also the Daedra always offer something for their followers or nobody would worship them, it's just that they lie and betray you in a heartbeat if they feel like it.
People believe what they either want to be true or what they are afraid is true!

Willfully turning aside from the truth is treason to one's self

Oh I'm sure that the publics opinion at this time in Tamriel's history of the Daedra where just as hostile as any other time. The fact that the Daedra's names are spelt backwards suggests that they where (are? will be?) just as feared and respected then as in any other time. (Spelling the name properly may have attracted the attention via summoning) Also a complete guide would need to address the existence of the Daedra. After all they are a major part of Tamriel's world and omitting them might have pissed one of them off. Better to be safe then sorry.

    1. To BOETHIAH the Fount of inspiration.
    2. To Hircine fho is Half the conscience of men
    3. To Malacath who speaks all languages Sideways
    4. To Mehrunes dagon whose mistress is Blazing Sun
    5. To Molag Bal whose breath is most foul.
    6. To Namira whose works endure forever
    7. To Mephala who threads the needle with the hair of wives
    8. To Clavicus Vile who always answers
    9. To Nocturnal whose touch is Mink
10.To Peryite whose foundation is falling Rock
    11. To Azura the Rim of all Holes
    12. To Meridia who contains the Plenum (gas or more likely spirit)
    13. To Hermaeus Mora who holds the paper to the light
    14. To Sanguine who tastes the Shaven Fruit
    15. To Vaernima Weaver of the Panoply

I don't think these are insults or blasphemies but rather they are also invocations, though called blasphemies because they invoke the daedra. To invoke a daedra is a blasphemy against what the aedra represent. These statements provide the object for a devotion or incantation. Before beginning a devotion or an incantation one invokes the object of devotion or incantation.

It would be like me saying "To Brian Wheeler Lead PvP designer". Now these things tend to be a little more arcane so it might be written "To Brian Wheeler fixer of doors". To be followed by a statement of devotion or incantation.

So yeah it would seem that people were invoking daedra for devotion and incantation at the time.

    Until you embrace truth.

Then you acknowledge that reverence of any and all "Aedra" is blasphemy.

For Azura, Boethiah and Mephala, the wisdom, elegance and splendour that they so perfectly express are love, are life.

It is Boethiah that elevated the Chimer to their form of absolute grace!
It is Boethiah that is responsible for the superior culture of the Dunmer, their pristine responsible architecture, the infinitely beautiful Vvardenfell.
It is Azura, Boethiah and Mephala that have provided so much and continue to provide and guide the worthy along the path of the righteous one towards prosperity, tranquillity and enlightenment.

The original post here is clearly propaganda. Invocations? Blasphemies?
What are blasphemies, but the jealousy of those unfit to wield power.
What are invocations, but the praise granted from the elegance, that which is Boethiah.
"Serving Boethiah is Freedom, embracing heroism is Liberty, existing solely for noxiphilic sanguivoria is truth." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

    European megaserver Fallout 4

Loyalist of Boethiah, heroism enthusiast, exposer of secrets, bless'ed of noxiphilic sanguivoria.

Yeah, I worship a god that requires me to kill my friends just to prove I exist, and will then betray me because that's what Boethiah does.
