I didn't see this posted here so I thought I would share it. The link below has information from the ESO Guild Summit that will be updated as more information comes out. Already some interesting stuff there now.

I also made a post to discuss the PVP news.

    yea take note on

"Animation and attack priority is currently driven by gameplay mechanics, and animation design is created to support the gameplay features. Animation cancelling with macro usage is “cheating”, but the way that attacks currently interact is intended, but will hopefully be improved in the future."

    Questions:

Regarding the performance impact of new graphical and particle behaviors:
Some ZOS designers shared a few performance enhancement suggestions: close your patcher while playing, disable hardware acceleration in open web browsers, make sure to update video drivers, disable any addons to verify the lag/crashes occur in the base client.

The role of blocking and block priority, the current meta of permanently blocking while using abilities:

Blocking is the most important and/or significant action that players can take in-combat, but currently the prioritization system and the way that blocking interacts with ability usage is something that ZeniMax are looking into improving soon.

    Changes to blocking.
Wonder what is going to come of this.

There is a lot of great info coming up right now. Also the PVP discussion just went up. Reading it now. The PVP Q and A hasn't started yet. Some of my favs so far below. I also made a post to discuss the PVP specific news forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/134278/pvp-news-from-the-guild-summit#latest

Fixing Crashes both client and server-side

Well at least we got a acknowledgement from them about the server crashes.

Man I'm seeing some stuff that I'm seriously happy about. Don't know how much of this has already been mentioned other places but it's awesome getting so much info about the future of the game, and knowing for sure so many things we all want really bad are confirmed on the way.

    * All of the specific improvements to combat, and animations. Giving combat more oomph.

    * ZOS is working to greatly improve the information presented to players while in first person perspective to make this view more feasible to use.

Love using first person for immersion, and exploring, but its not viable to me right now for combat for more than one on one PVE.

    * Potential relaxation of API restrictions for player feedback

Already a great addon ecosystem for ESO, seeing it get even better would be awesome.

    * Possibility of increasing the bass in combat audio, particularly to indicate heavier hits or more significant sources of damage.

    Nice little bit of polish.

*Lots of really awesome crafting improvements!

    * Crafting tutorials will be much more helpful and informative for new crafters.

Helping new players not feel overwhelmed is always a plus. The crafting in this game is def one of the reasons I enjoy it so much so the more people into it the better.

*New crafting style Dwemer coming very soon.

    Sweet!

    * 9-trait item set, “The Twice Born Star” coming in Update 5.

    New gear is always good.

    * I don't do provisioning but looks like LOTS of stuff to make those that do happy.

    * All the dungeon, and dungeon scaling stuff.

    * Adding systems to offload vanity pets, costumes, mounts, and trinkets out of physical inventory space to allow players to enjoy the use of collectibles without hogging their inventory space.

Thank you, thank you! Also interesting it includes "Mounts".

    * Spellcrafting, Poisonmaking, Jewelrycrafting

    Hell yeah!

    * Mount Racing

Awesome, always love little mini game type stuff!

*Continued effort in populating the world (which the devs jokingly term “Clickyville”) with further opportunities for player interaction.

Always good to have more of this!

    Coming up in Update 5

Minimum rank requirement to purchase Forward Camps
Buffs will be local to the campaign only for PvP only, they are still considering how to handle buffs for PvE
Anti-tunneling boundaries and ways to block exploits where players wiggle through terrain objects and get underneath the world.

    ============================================================

the minimum rank requirement MIGHT put a damper on the "spies" placing FC in spots that hinder actual alliance members from placing them near battles

No timeline given. Last time we were told anything related to when for spellcrafting, and justice system was the last "Road ahead" post. It was in the last category of the list under “Expect to see later”, below "soon", and "in a while". The stuff from the "soon" part is all stuff that is in update 5. So maybe update 7?

Ill probably start playing PVP again when this happens. Can't come soon enough.

Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

if people had to actually run or ride horses to the battles, I am sure the lag fest that is currently happening would probably calm down a bit since people wouldnt be spawning five seconds from battle and running right back in.

    Maybe I am wrong?

Thanks for the link, shame we had to go elsewhere to get this information.

That qualification apart, the answers given on a variety of topics confirms my view that, for me, it's already clear that this game has joined EQ, EQ2 and LoTRO (alone among all the others I've played over the years) as MMORPGs of the highest quality that will keep me as a happily paying customer for years, not weeks or months.

Go to Cyrodiil and engage in PVP. You will likely crash that many times in a single night.

Their are definitely a lot of people having severe crash issues but not everyone. I have had one client crash since 1.4.4 and I play PVP every night. I hope it gets fixed soon though for everyone cause issues like that will drive people away faster than anything. My number one complaint with the game at the moment is the firggin server crashes where everyone in the area gets kicked to the char select screen.

I agree that some people aren't having the crash issues. The only period where I had a lot of crashes was that one 2-3 week period with the massive memory leak in PVP. Outside of that, I've had less than 10 crashes since the game launched.

Basically, each champion point spent in one area will have less impact. The first one will give you an amount and every following champion point will give you a fraction of the first amount.

There is also the rest xp that accrues.

I imagine they'll be added to updates and pushed out to the PTS as they get them ready. It's probably a smart idea for them not to give us any definite time lines.

Ok let me post this in the appropriate forum now lol.

We (ZOS) are leaning heavily towards getting rid of the barrier between gold/silver content and giving the player the choice at 50 to tackle that content in any order they choose.

Once we choose are we locked into only that faction until complete or can we jump between the two at our leisure?

and the follow up for clarification:

So if I was DC I could choose to do AD first or EP, but this does not clarify if I could do some of AD then do some EP and then go back for more AD.

Also, again, big thanks to Atropos at Tamriel Foundry for keeping the community informed, awesome job.

This still equates to a grind fest though. Diminished returns without a cap can and most likely will create a huge division in the player base. I'm not trying to poo poo ZOS here, just voicing my concerns.

I often also wonder wether most of the hubub about performance is client sided. Meaning that you need a half decent GPU in your Rig and laptop, so you can run the game as is meant to. I had to tweak around to make my GFs Lappy run ESO. It worked so far, which is amazing and surprising too. But I suspect some people just don't have a clue of the technical side of their own devices.

Also refering to a guy whose system got upgraded today and for the first time was able to see how the game REALLY looks. It was fun to see his excitement.

And of course the entitlement issue... *sigh*

Well in theory this should mean you can do any content that produces xp to further your character. In practice I'm sure the min max crew will work out the most efficient way to gain xp and do nothing but that until they get so bored they cry. Hopefully they dramatically reduce boss xp.

How do you balance pvp against such practices? The reason my friends no longer play is because to pvp effectively you want to be at max level and the VR grind to get there wasn't worth the effort. If there is no level cap as such there could end up an even bigger grind than we currently have.
