I have twice as many lol's than you and i am not a funny person. I am very stone cold serious and all my threads & comments are serious and down to business. I am not here for any funny stuff. Im here for hard facts and conversation.
Can't vote because you're missing the "Both" option.Thechemicals wrote: »When you leave lol feedback, it is because you find it funny or you want to give bad feedback? No gray area here Y or N. What do you mostly use it for?

Without it people just hit lol instead.

I use the LOL button when I think someone is being funny, voluntarily or not. Funny in my case means something that provokes a smile in me without provoking grief in other readers. When I think someone has a wrong opinion I try to explain him why.

I used to use LOL for posts that make me laugh but I read that most people take LOL as an insult so I try to use awesome instead.
I say lots of funny things; that's where most of my LOLs come from.
When I get an LOL on a more serious post I assume it's from a passive aggressive troll who does not have a good sense of humor and gets confused about the meaning of LOL.
Or someone just hit the wrong icon.

PATs?
Puerile Assault Team?
Prescient Anguish Trolls?
Prototype Argyle Ties?
I think I'm missing something horribly obvious here...
