Thanks to MH for posting the audio. Had a chance to listen to a portion of the PvP- Cyrodiil/Imperial City discussion. I am very encouraged to hear reference by Brian Wheeler to issues and fixes suggested in these forums for FC mechanics, Emperor Flipping, Troll Camps that are all being given due consideration with some solid fixes coming down with the next major patch/update.

I was a little disheartened to hear the jabs taken at the forum community by both sides of the table but I imagine it does get exhausting sometimes to be on the receiving end of criticism month after month.

That said it was clear many of the issues and concerns of the community were indeed taken seriously and referenced in the discussion, so all in all, I have a warm fuzzy on about PvP. Tnx.

Can't argue with fanboi's they just twist and miss quote everything you post.

I have my opinion's you have yours but I bet if we did a survey there would be a lot more on my 'Dis-satisfied' side than your 'rose coloured glasses' side.

It sounds like we had great representation in you- thank you.

I wish information like yours was more forthcoming from the horse's mouth on a regular basis. I think that would do much to placate the fan base.

@adean27 Your posts are the highlights of this thread and for this reason ZOS has at least made one right decision on choosing you as the representative. Thank you and look forward to you responding more questions about the summit.

In fact, I have got one of my own. Did anyone in the summit ask anything about music? It seems that there was no audio team present or involved. I mean I enjoy and love the music. I think they are beautifully composed and performed and are in line with the style of past TES games. But there is one thing that I personally feel needs a bit improvement. In my humble opinion, I think they should add some "zone specific" themed background music that will immediately make people aware that they enter a new zone. They don't have to be that distinct in terms of music style like those in WoW but they can be added some zone exclusive flavors according to different lores, landscape, etc.

Anyway, your posts have pretty much changed my view on the summit. Although I still think that ZOS missed some preparation work before the summit with respect to communication about this event with the forum, now I can understand their motives and appreciate the whole thing more.

And by the way, other than game content related topics, why don't you share something funny or interesting about the developers, the casual talk between you attendees and ZOS employees, or whatever so that the tension in this thread may be eased a bit.

It's not their fault. They were chosen by ZOS. They didn't ask to represent the playerbase. Personally, I'm grateful that they made the effort to go and give us feedback on what the guild summit is all about. What's the point of arguing about it, anyway. It's done. Maybe instead of attacking them we should give them a list of our concerns that they can then take to the devs.

Yeah, we didn't ask them to represent us, but since they're there already, we might as well make use of this opportunity and help them in representing us.

Darn, if only there were a poll system integrated into these forums. Oh wait...

Player motivation for participating in the Imperial City vs. Cyrodiil proper? What rewards are there for players? What about alliance ranks after 24?

"They are looking into expanding the alliance skill lines to include additional abilities as well as possible alliance rank dependent tiers of gear, but there is some concern that this approach would be too elitist favoring hardcore PvPers too much."

How on earth are they going to implement the "seasonal gear" they promised, if they're too afraid to give PvPers some of it? Ridiculous...

Q: What kind of challenges will this system involve for educating players on where their stats are coming from and helping them understand how the new system works without having to show them a PowerPoint presentation?

A: The reality is that most players don’t really care too much, and they simply trust that their stats are adding naturally. This will actually be a fairly natural system since the caps in place prevent you from ever getting “too much” of a certain stat.

    Seriously? OMFG.

*I* care! I'm sure *many* people care! We want to understand the mechanics so we can maximize a build. Why do you think we hate your shite tool tips?!?

They are telling you that they want your efforts in trying to maximize a build to be less important and you choosing the build you like to play and grouping with others with complementary builds to be more important in maximizing your performance.

Some players hates when how good they are, is up to them. Always been players like that, even since Everquest. I can't say why some players don't like skill = you, because I've never seen them in raids.

They do raid, but only when stuffs are nerfed.

Do we really have a 5-page rant session consisting of complaints about how not everyone wasn't invited to the party?

And guess why Zeni have to go elsewhere for more views.
They do look here first, but if the same 50 people only using these forums....that's not enough to base their feedback on.

"We" on ESO forum got ourselves to blame. Be more polite! Negative, SURE! But tell what the problem is! Or why its good!

We seam to lack the ability to do that here.

Nothing here is new. ZOS has been catering to the same few guilds since beta. I made a thread about Entropy Riding's special treatment months ago. Back then, if you said something ZOS didn't like, they would sink your thread, which is how mine died.

All this guild summit did was publicize an event that would otherwise have been secret over Skype so at least the rest of us can get the same information as the special guilds for once.

Their communication has gotten better, so I'm not as upset anymore. They still need to be way more active on their own forums, but things have gotten better.

We're going to close this thread now, as it has devolved into bickering and personal attacks among those participating in the thread. We've made several comments earlier in this thread to explain the Guild Summit and why it was conducted in the way it was. That being said, we have read everyone's feedback here and in the other threads on the topic and will keep it all in mind if we plan another such event. Thank you for understanding.
