Thornblade rollback 15 min ago

I've bug reported it.

Red were taking Faregyl, and it started to lag, with players reporting in zone. Keypresses not responding.

I was trying to attack a yellow player for 60 sec, and was not hitting him. He was dancing. Did he know?

We rolled back to the south Morrowind gate after dropping back to the character selection screen. When we returned, we'd lost BRK which had been under defense and didn't have Faregyl either (inner postern had been repaired at time of crash).

I'd like to know

1. Did all factions experience a similar rollback?
2. Did you have similar/different symptoms when it happened?

The more info the better.

I was fighting for AD at the time at Faregyl. It always starts the same way... can't get through doors, abilities no longer output damage, snipe hangs for 30sec and requires bash to get out of animation, then bam - character select screen. After that I quit for the night. It has crashed at least 6 times today that I was here since I had the day off.

This is getting really old. We are currently down to one server that actually has a reasonable population across all factions. The total number of people in PVP has fallen dramatically - and with good reason. Some serious care and attention to stability, balance, and customer service in general might save PVP. Unfortunately at this point very few people have the confidence that things are going to get better in cyrodiil. We'll see.

I'm never happy when it rolls back in our favor cause I know ultimately it will roll back in our enemies favor soon enough.

It was the insane lag caused by the massive fighting at BRK. Easily 200+ people on the flags. I'm not going to say we won because of the lag (we would of had it eventually) but by the time we got in, we had all the camps and courtyard under control.

Sucks, but thats the price we pay for having so many people active at the same time.

These server crashes are getting really old. I really wish ZOS would just at least acknowledge these server issues. At the very least. It happens multiple times every night during peak hours.

    Please.

    No chance.

GW2 had these issues but within weeks it was resolved and MASS combat was easy and no lag at all with 300+ people all fighting at same area. Warhammer also fixed this issue very early on. 6 months into launch and every patch makes the game playability worse ..........

If Dark Age of Camelot could fix the issues then there is no reason 15 years later it should be any sort of an issue completely unacceptable really

These statements do not match my experience with either game mentioned. GW2's mass combat was both laggy and lame. Warhammer was a lot of fun, but would lag like crazy during big fights when trying to lock a zone to invade the city.
Unsubbed and no longer playing, but still checking the Alliance War forum for the lulz.

They have to use tile damage/heal.
Either limit outgoing damage and incoming heals per tile...or...
drop all but 1 player incoming/outgoing activity per tile (less cpu cycles). As would be the case if CD was in place....but without the CD issues.

Cluster and do no damage and get no heals vs spread out and get full heals and do full damage.
[full incoming damage and outgoing heals will be unaffected]

Only the really really stupid would expect to cluster and win at the same time under those conditions.
