Forward Camp Trolling

Forward Camps are going to get an Alliance Rank requirement to purchase added to them for helping limit the amount of self alliance "trolling". Short of increasing the price to a very high amount, we've read many other suggestions on the boards here and are taking this as a first step.

By not adding the name to the forward camp, we still can not report said troll campers. There for with the proposed method of initial change, we are to assume that troll camping isn't a bannable offense and is just frowned upon. This is also gathered by ZOS responses in other threads on the same subject.

Guys, am I the only person who realizes this will fix nothing?

1 - Spy alts can simply ask others to purchase camps and COD to them.
2 - In regards to the major guilds that are running the troll camp alts, do you seriously believe it's in any way difficult for them to have just 1 person who has a high lvl / high pvp rank alt on the other side?

The proposed change does make it more difficult for individual troll campers, but that was never the issue. The issue is specific large guilds troll camping en mass. My prediction is this won't stop it.

In order to help, the alliance rank limitation has to be extended to placing FC's as well.

I agree. I would only assume that a restriction on purchases would require a restriction on having them in your inventory as well. Yea definitely make it so you cant place them without the level restriction also...or..make them bop.

They don't need to punish low level people for the crimes of others. Simply make it to where an FC has the placers name above it on the map. if its a troll camp, they will be reported.

I'm sorry Cody but be realistic..they're not going to implement a system that allows or even opens the door slightly to encourage harassment in zone chat.

It would cause many more problems than just Troll camps.

What rank is needed? I think I got rank 2 or 3 by just doing the ten minute "training" quests.

That is the point Cody, they do not punish troll campers so there is no need to place their name on it.

So, in the end, it does nothing.

Thanks, equally, for nothing, Zeni, yet again.

for helping limit the amount of self alliance "trolling"

Not eliminate, limit. Some of you guys act as if this was supposed to be the solution to end all solutions. It's just one measure to reduce the amount of troll camps you see. Yes there are ways around it, but it is still a step in the right direction.

Zone chat already opens the door to encourage harassment. Do you read some of the things people say?

All it will do is put the pressure of camping on those of a higher rank. This only limits the factions ability to successfully defend or attack and puts us at high risk of loss. What about the lowbie campaign where NO ONE has rank? Do they just not get to use camps at all?
