i am currently playing ESO on the PC but am willing to try the PS4 version when it releases on consoles. my question is will the console version of the game have a seperate subscription fee than the PC or will it all be the same subscription fee? i don't want to have to pay for a 2nd subscription just to try the console version.

It will be a separate account if you want to play on both platforms. I know they talked about a discounted price for current PC players to buy the game for the consoles, but I think there are plans to let you transfer your characters to the other platform.

And I don't know if PC players would get a discounted subscription price if they maintained two accounts, but I can't see anyone playing it on both platforms, unless they have friends who are console only or vice versa. Or, they really like Alts.

EDIT There are plans, or there were plans, to allow a character transfer

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

They'll cancel the console versions or take a loss putting them out. The majority of people who are interested in this game are already playing it. Separate servers and not being able to at least do a one time transfer of characters is not going to make a lot of sense to a lot of folks.

Where did you hear that? In May, they announced anyone who purchases a copy before 30 June will be able to get a download copy of ESO for either console for $20 and you can transfer your character(s) to the console from the PC.

I have not read anything backtracking on that.

But to answer the question, yes, you'll need to have a 2nd sub, or you can just get the game and play it for the 30 days and never actually start you sub.

    I didn't hear it. I thought it.

If they are allowing character transfers, well... It makes a bit more sense then.
