How to end zerg blobbing.

This garbage play is crashing the servers and ruining PVP, causing people to abandon this game by the THOUSANDS.

This is not sustainable.

A simple solution: Give hostile AOE diminishing returns. The more enemy AOE you are hit with the less damage each will do, scale so that zerg blobbing becomes a net loss.

Problem solved.

    This is all about Zerging and AOEs.

    Nope, he is talking about open world pvp. Which should have enough space & opportunities for a wide variety of playstyles.

    There was a page here prerelease promoting endcontent of ESO, with 2 categories: PvE Craglorn & PvP Cyro.

    PvP Cyro then was subdivided into 3 subcategories:

    - Massive Battles
    - Small group play
    - Solo play

    but thats not ZOS fault - its the problem of the players if they do not coordinate what they like.
    the only thing arguable in ZOS behavior is the non existance of campaign forums for an easier coordination.
    spelling and grammar errors are free to be abused

    No, it`s about incentives & mechanics like forward camps & ae caps that encourage zerging and make any other playstyle obsolete.

    I lead a small guild of about 10 people, there may be 4 of us on at any given time, 7 is the most we have ever had on concurrently.

    We are a well oiled machine, have played together for a very long time (other games)

    When we go out into Cyrodiil, we look for spots where we are most likely to find random small group encounters, or maybe a wayward larger group of opportunity.

    What we always get is the following, every time:

    1. Find spot
    2. Kill 2-3 guys
    3. Communication must have occurred, we refer to it as "crying in zone for halp"
    4. 20-30 people show up and destroy our spot.
    5. Repeat from step 1.


    Now, it wouldnt bother me so much if this was an occasional occurrence, however it is the ALWAYS GUARANTEED occurrence due to forward camps and the herd mentality. Sure you can zerg bust some of them, sometimes our small group of say five or six will take out 15-20, but that is not common, especially when the groups get steadily larger, and larger and larger.

    PvP in Cyrodiil has become "he who has the biggest zerg spamming the most crap wins"

    Skill doesnt matter any more
    Planning doesnt matter any more
    Build barely matters any more (run sticks and robes, pop an aoe on your bar, destro or class, whatever does the most damage, stack on crown, profit)

    Its gotten pretty sickening. I cant remember the last time I died to anything less than 10 guys all steamrolling at me. Everything is overwhelm with numbers now, and has been for a long time.

    Time to bring back the uncapped AoE. Where anything inside the AoE attack gets hit. You know, like back at launch.
