Like Sgt. Scott points out in Stargate: SGU, "It is amazing how quick you can get jaded to this stuff." I realize there are still some problems, but we're working through them. The world of Tamriel truly is in a league of its own. I still find myself frequently stopping and thinking to myself, "wow." The graphical design, realism, and scale never cease to amaze me, along with all the immersive detail, like songs that stick in your mind for days and the sheer volume of fully voiced dialogue which compliment the wonderful storytelling.
I feel ESO is like an icebreaker of "old school" plowing steadily through the frigid seas of post-modern meh. It is no small task, to carry the spiritual torch through these blackest of years. Many will fall, yet through our collective efforts, we may yet see hope through to a future worth looking forward to.
