Leave PVP buffs in PVP

I've been hearing rumors that the PVP buffs and who they apply to may change in the near future. I'm not entirely sure whether this is true, but figured having another conversation about this was necessary.
In my opinion, these PVP buffs should not be applicable in instances like trials. For timed trials it seems entirely misguided to allow such significant buffs to imbalance things. Aside from the 8% crit (used to be 20%!) the emp buff alone is so significant. It creates the opportunity to either stack more health if needed, or reallocate health points to magicka if not.
Just food for thought, the gameplay in PVE does not directly influence PVP this significantly. There are no PVE buffs that you have to have in order to be successful in PVP. Sure, gear and whatnot is more accessible in PVE, but overall, nothing we do in PVE affects the leaderboards of PVP. People should be able to be active in both if they so choose, but aside from that, the two should be mutually exclusive in terms of leaderboards.

✭Personally, I think they should only apply on the server you are on. If you are guesting you get the ones on the guest server, if you are at home you get the ones on your home server, if you are PVEing you get nothing.“Whatever.”

Need to change the system. You can't have people actually trying to compete in PVE if they are motivated to select a defunct home campaign to benefit from buffs.

But in any case, fully agree with OP's proposal. Actually, I would remove the PVP buffs entirely.2 -

✭✭Buffs need to go away completely IMO. I can't think of a good way to balance it.
The current system promotes making your home campaign a dead buff campaign.
If the buffs only counted in your home server, then that is basically making the winning faction even more unstoppable, and you will simply have a bunch of one sided campaigns like we do now.
The best idea to me would be to change the buffs from stats and instead the buffs could be +10% AP gain, or +10% gold gain or +10% chance to gain rare mats from decon. Basically buffs for profit, so that the dominant faction doesn't gain an edge in battle, but there is no direct combat advantage that pretty much forces PvEers to use a buff campaign.4 -

GnatB✭✭✭✭If the goal is to make PvP fun, which presumably means more competitive, then it would seem the logical answer would be for the losing team gets the buffs.
And they still only work in PvP. (anything else is just silly)Achievements Suck2
