I don't know, opening inventory doesn't usually let me:
    • open a door that won't open,
    • ride a horse that won't appear,
    • loot a body that just lays there and taunts me with the 'Press (remapped key) to pilfer pockets"
when they won't happen on their own.
But I have heard it works for some people.

    ESO is awesome.

For those of you who don't know, there are times when a player can't open a door, cast a spell or call up a horse.
It usually happens as a result of having been in combat some moments before, and can last for many minutes after combat has ended.
It can last for many minutes after the people in your group have regained the ability.

And there are times when you need one or some of those things to happen, like trying to get into a castle before the crowd chasing you can catch and kill you.

There are times you'd like to call/mount a horse to keep up with your group.

There are times when you'd like to be able to defend yourself.

And there are times when you've killed one or several, or a boss, and you can't loot it for the loot or the boss loot.

For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of this happening continuously for the last several weeks or months, sure, ESO is awesome.

For those of us who have the above happen to us, the game is annoying as snot when you consider that you're playing $15/month to enjoy the awesome of not being able to get into a castle door, cast a spell mount a horse, or loot a corpse.

But don't worry, it's only a matter of time before you move from the 'This is AWESOME!' club to the 'OH WTF?!?!?!' club.

    Edited for too many 'e's.

It happens every so often, but I've never heard that opening you inventory does anything about it. Oh well, something to try next time, but I won't hold my breath on it working,
