Arena Trials Save Feature

There should be an option to save progress in trials. I spent 3 hours and now have to reset. It would be a nice feature for the group if it stays the same.

Gotta agree. Because it's so long, a save feature would be nice.

Wait, you have to start over again if you leave before your done? You can't go back and start the next stage?

Something else in the new content I won't be doing now.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

So how would you replay it? This makes no sense. If you sink 3 hours into the non vet and you didn't beat it then you should rethink your group.

Just join a group that has had someone leave at stage 7-8~, there's plenty of them LFMing and it shouldn't take more than an hour or two after that.

Normal arena takes 2 hrs to complete
Vet, you have limited rez's so time is not normally the issues, but the longest has been 3 hrs.

If you don't have 3 hrs to spare, don't go in. If it is taking longer then that, you need a better group (or the group needs to replace you)

Agree with a save feature. Being able to choose to keep a tag then if you enter again and the group leader has another one you choose delete yours or keep yours and be kicked of that group.

Also for achievement instead of that"clear normal/vet arena" make 10step being each stage clearance .

idk, I think part of the difficulty is playing through it in one go. Maybe a save for the non-vet version wouldn't matter much.

    Suggesting an idea:
Upon leaving, players can talk to an NPC that gives you a token based on what stage you've reached. Each player can acquire one. Find a group carrying those same stage tokens (or higher) and they'll be able to start on the stage of the lowest token.

Some tweaks would be necessary to ensure people aren't D-bags, but I think it could work well.

You have GOT to be kidding!

The challenge is to live through it.
To "save" is ludicrous and would completely gimp the whole point with the event.
Which they explained in detail about how they created the Arena.

I've seen a lot of "suggestions" that only are about making stuff easy.
This one, takes some sort of price.........

    Description about the Arena
In normal mode, you’ll be able to grab a group and make a decent dent in the arena. You won’t be able to finish all ten of the arenas without coordination and skill, and each new arena will still be more difficult than the last, but with the right group and good communication, you’ll be able to progress and earn some nice rewards.

With a well-organized group, you’ll be able to see it through to the end and earn an achievement, title, and some fine loot. You receive rewards after every arena, so even if you don’t get to the very end, you’ll still walk away with something.

Veteran Mode is a different beast entirely.
We cranked up the difficulty to sadistic levels, and you’ll need strategy, skill, and tight execution to complete it. We adopted the Soul Reservoir feature from Trials, so your group will have limited resurrections throughout the course of the ten arenas, and (also like Trials) Veteran Dragonstar Arena will feature leaderboards. Some particularly excellent loot will be available, too—we’re introducing a new set of weapons that provide bonuses to specific abilities for those who can manage to get to the end.

Introducing a raidlock might be nice for the occasional DSA player but it's about 1h30m to 2hours to get to stage 10 on vet and after that however long so allocate 3 hours. It's not like some 7 hour raids that there are on other games where a legitimate raidlock is necessary. It's just along instance.

Yes because Life, family, jobs and the real world never interfere with gaming....

In case you were wondering, that was sarcasm.

A save feature would be awesome. I would be less picky about who I go in with.

Difficulty and excessively time consuming are different things.

Agreed. It's wonderful to "live through it", but like, you know, stuff happens. It tooks us about 4 hours to do it (non vet. Let me not tell you about my vet attempts) for the first time, but then 3 of us didn't know the strategies. Even then, I had to take a break because I needed to walk my dog - and yes, that couldn't wait. I was incredibly lucky to be in group with my friends who didn't replace me but instead waited til I was back so we could continue.

You can run it a lot faster if you all know what you're doing, that doesn't change anything. New people take longer. Sometimes something happens and you HAVE to go. It's incredibly frustrating to put hours into it and then be unable to finish because one of you had to go on, say, Arena 10. While being able to save every stage might be overdoing it, it would be nice to have options - like maybe, say, a group gets one save for whole place. So if you're taking too long, you can save it and continue tomorrow, but you can't repeat that 10 times in a row.
