From what I have seen in the guilds I belong to over the last week and a half, ESO is dying the slow painful death of inepitude! They make soooo many mistakes/errors for every good thing they do. The people working for them are clearly way over their head and it shows each patch.

    Time to move on.

agreed. this is the worst run game I've ever played. cheaters running rampant in pvp and called skilled by zenimax, constant crashes. the list goes on and on. simply laughably incompetent.

I don't want to leave this game. Most others look like cartoons on crack. PvP has left me so frustrated. Crashing before defensive ticks..hacks..imbalanced populations..imbalanced skills. Sets not working etc.

I'm gritting my teeth waiting for the spell crafting to be implemented. I know I can spend a full month on that while PvP is straightened out. It's becoming painful to log in everyday :(

Exactly. Move on to what? Everything else on the market is garbage.

ZOS definitely needs to address the PVP issues. Crashing, lag, troll camps, exploits... They need to PUNISH the jerks ruining it for everyone else so that their behavior isn't essentially encouraged by the apparent lack of consequences.

I would say permanent bans for anyone using these hacks for one.

There are many good suggestions for dealing with the troll camp situation as well.

Personally I think the number of campaigns should be reduced yet again. The shorter duration campaigns are nearly always empty, with one side dominating and everyone else using it to collect Skyshards and run quests for achievables.

Cut the campaign numbers down and use the left over servers to augment the remaining.

Consolidation of resources = better performance. Or some [snip]. I don't know, I'm no server engineer, but it sounds right to me!

i'm with you on this one

the look and feel of the game, for me, are two very crucial aspects of a game for me

the balance and how they deal with bugs, exploits etc are some others

for my personal tastes, they have the first two right, the others they are missing on

other games out there don't have the 'right' look and feel for me, and that won't change

so i too grit my teeth, though in frustration at thinking that if they got the handling of bugs, exploits and balance right, this game would have a far larger, loyal player base

I honestly feel this game would corner the market....if they could just fix the balance and the god damn bug infestation.

I suspect spell crafting will be the final nail in the coffin. There is almost zero chance that won't introduce major balance issues.

That worries me as well. Mostly due to imbalanced class passives and ZoS history when it comes to fixing game breaking stuff. Takes months.

But let's say we all craft the same broken spell combination, who wins?

My Templar doesn't have synergy with any non-class skill lines (only the timid spear wall passive for sword and board).

My sorc on the other hand have the best passives in the game and great synergy with destruction spells. Same with my DK. I will probably be forced to change my main, if spell crafting works the way I think. If I'm still playing that is. If they cant fix PvP, I wont bother. It's pissing my of way to much.

Its frustrating because the PvE is pretty awesome, and the PvP could legitimately be epic.

It could seriously be epic. But they just will not prioritize it.

    Baffling.

I'd really really like to play this game... Yet... I feel as if I'm disrespecting myself by continuing to pay $15 a month for an experience that has had near-gamebreaking issues since beta.

I've unsubbed. (no, you cannot have my stuff)

I'd like to come back... soon... but I have very little faith in ZOS left... and I refuse to pay them anymore when they're so clearly not interested in providing me the quality of service my sub fee deserves.

I've had consistent trouble with the ESO Launcher. My game was crashing even before I ever started playing. I lost out on the free month because my launcher was still downloading and re-downloading.

After having played, I do believe it's worth tolerating its current shortcomings. It can only get better from here, and boy, does it have potential.

The game was sold with the promise of massive pvp battles. The launch trailer IS about pvp battles. I bought the game for pvp. Beta was funny with the massive ubber lags...then since release it has been bugs upon bugs upon client crashes upon factions exploiting the AOE caps upon factions crashing the server to avoid caps to people camp trolling to AD zerg facerolling firerings+streak+swarm combos of pain lag.

Cyrodiil to ZOS means: Roll a Sorc, become a vamp, lag people to death and exploit bugs...that s pvp...right?

yeah looks like there is nobody that cares about pvp at ZOS...leave a message

The only people that really seem to care are the Community Managers and those are the people who are not at all responsible for the absolutely amateur work that is being done by the technical folk.

I really expect some kind of statement regarding the current situation by one of the actual developers or I will, with great sadness, just have to forget about this game.

It's really unbelievable how such a fantastic game with such incredible potential that has supposedly cost such a large amount of money is being treated. Let's not not even begin on how the paying customers are treated.

ya, i mean, even through all the bugs and exploits w/e w/e, the game was still fun and kept me playing even having to relog every 10 mins during the fps crap. but it's starting to become a bit old, literally nothing has changed from day 1 except im crashing a lot more. many people have quit, many of my guildies have quit, and there are very few guilds left. builds have been relatively the same for awhile now b/c very little is updated and changed, save a few nerfs here and there for badly broken abilities. the meta (probably in large part b/c there aren't enough people left to try out ***) isnt really evoloving at this point, pvp's become very stale. it'd be okay if i wasn't crashing every 5 secs and the imperial city were coming out very soon, but no.

We heard news about layoffs a month ago. We haven't seen/heard anything from PvP devs for the last month or so. Update 5 = City of Ash Veteran, instead of Imperial City.

What if their whole PvP department got laid off?

Personally I think ZOS is losing a real money maker here. They had a great chance to make the best PVP MMO with a well known franchise, thousands and thousands of interested players and what they did....went all PVE path. Do they really think they can compete against WoW in that department, and actually hope they can keep raiders interested for long with zero starting dungeons? Do they really hoped to push new content with diminishing monthly fees and hoped hardcore raiders wait years for this MMO to reach the same content level as WoW already has?

If they had concentrated more on PVP, they might have managed to get players permanently away from WoW, because PVP players don't expect new content every month. We are happy when our game works, classes are balanced and bugs get fixed. We don't demand new areas and bosses to kill every week to get enough worth for our money. Maybe it's just me, but concentrating 100% on PVE seems a really stupid business decision. I still haven't lost all my hope, but these are the last moments ZOS could actually change the course of this game.
  • DuelWieldingCheesyPoofs
People feel like they are actually taking the p**** now,

they need to push out spell crafting in .6 to keep interest and divert attention away from these issues.
  • DuelWieldingCheesyPoofs
And yes we need some pvp content, i dont play "lots" of pvp because i get bored of it quite fast, but i was a main pvper in other games and sorely miss basic pvp!

they could implement smaller scale cap pvp within Cyrodiill without taking away the AvA.
