Why cant I press E anymore to move on?

When I run up to a NPC to sell my stuff I could press E to move on and then click on sell.
When I ran to the bank and pressed e I could then press e again to put crap in my bank..
When Im on an alt and I dont care about the story line I could press E..
Why change this feature? It was fine it was fast and it didn't hurt anything.
I miss my friend the E button.
