~+~ A small suggestion (instruments) ~+~

Hello Zenimax,

I was hanging out with a couple of friend's yesterday and we started playing instruments (lute, drum, flute). Unfortunately it was hard to sync them together and sometimes one of us would play a different tune entirely.

Would it be possible to make it so if you are playing instruments within a small range of another player they sync together? (maybe 5 meters?) It's a small change and in no way is it a priority, but I just think it would be a nice touch to add to roleplaying in the game.

Another thing to think about is maybe making it into a mini-game in the future

The mini game would only happen if you stood on a stage or something so it doesn't annoy the people that just want to play their instruments. You could make it so we have to hit certain buttons to play the correct tune and if we mess up our instrument plays a weird noise! Haha, just another fun little thing that could be added to your massive game.

Yea, they could make it so u have to hit certain buttons to play the correct tune and if you mess up your instrument makes a weird noise haha!

Ya, this would definitely help. A lot of times while waiting for a group to gather for an objective, like a dark anchor, I'd pull out my lute and other people would join, but it sounds really weird at the best of times. If we could sync our instruments, and maybe even play the supporting parts, it would add a lot to the music experience. I'd really love to see this implemented, if possible.

Tone deaf Nords drinking mead (though not certain there is another kind) lead to loud Karaoke...

Interesting. I wonder if that works with syncing the correct songs together. I also wonder if it would actually work since the different instruments are technically different emotes. I will have to test it tonight.

This would be great! We also need more instruments. CULTURAL instruments would be fantastic. And we should also have cultural music! Soooo tired of the small handful of same ol songs already!

Or maybe some different instruments also. Only say this as I am reminded of Asheron's Call 2 and one of the rare instruments in that game "VOICE OF THE ANCIENTS." Sounded awesome

IMO pressing buttons to play - not a good idea. I mostly play emotes when wait someone. But i'm agree about sync idea. And I knew about sync addon a long time before, but it's not so awesome(IMO). It would be great to play melody together. For now - you make noise together (even if synced). But I dont think ZOS will add this feature because of
1. There is more important staff to do (mostly topics on this forum is moaning about magika vs stamina, LA vs MA vs HA and destro staff rules; and I forgot about bugs sometimes) As you can see, this isn't a main problem. And also champion system, DB, TG and so on.
2. Who need it? Really, how many players will use it? I like this idea, but we can think only about ourselfs.
So, yes, I'd like to see some improvments (like if you synced 2 instruments, then someone 3rd can start sing; why not?), but I have little hope for it.

Pushing buttons to play would only be the mini game. It wouldn't happen every time you wanted to do the emote. Maybe there would be a stage or something for it? haha who knows, it was just a random idea.

I realize there are many more pressing issues than adding something like syncing instruments, but if Zenimax ever finds some time I think this would be a fun little addition (even without the mini game).

Yes seriously. First off, like I said in my originial post, I know they are working on other more important things, but that doesn't mean they can't work on other updates. Obviously they are making other updates to the game while trying to fix it since we have patches like Update 2, 3, and 4.

Yea, I hope we get a mod response so we at least know they looked at this. I don't expect to be in the same soon or anything, but it would be nice to know they saw it ^.^

Now to the serious part - I like the idea, I saw it in one game with little creatures with hairly feet carrying a golden ring to some nasty place and it works AWESOME!
