I think that every time there is a content patch (like 1.43 that just came out) there should be a mandatory review of the patch notes (like the terms and agreement when you first play a game) stating that you have read and understood the patch notes, click yes, before you are allowed to post on the forums again. Think of how many posts since Monday that could have been avoided heh

Disclaimer, this was meant as a light hearted joke, please don't take serious

That is a little more difficult when half the changes are not in the notes and are not even acknowledged by ZOS for days after.

I read the patch notes, and think this idea is bad.

If you force people to read that much content, they will leave.

Just tell them where the patch notes are, and let them read them, if they don't, well it's not our problem.

I really want to agree with you, and I understand where you're coming from with this. A bunch of posts about things that were listed in the patch notes really aren't necessary. On the other hand, many of those posts lead to actual discussions, and not everyone cares about what was changed in the most recent patch. Making everyone read something they may or may not care about is a good way to make them irritated. Even if they did implement something like this, I assume the majority of people would just scroll to the "I read this" box and skip the notes anyways, making the whole thing moot.

I really meant the OP as a bit of a light hearted joke. Truthfully all I would really like to see is a sticky at the top of each forum with a link to most recent patch notes. Lets face it, if they actually forced people to read the notes they would do the same as they do with the game T&A.....scroll to the bottom and hit agree

There is a forum "Official News & Patch Notes" , the most recent patch notes are at the top. A link is sort of wasted on that.

I know, honestly I do, but lets face it, based on so many of the posts since Monday it is pretty obvious people don't know about it or just to lazy (most likely this) to read it. It is so a minor an addition it wouldn't hurt

Actually they should ban forum posts for 3 days after maintenance. Then they should come to our houses and take our computers, then they should make ice cream sundaes for us.

Won't solve the problem, but it could cut down on the multiple parallel threads.

Take my computer, over somebody's dead body (not mine, somebody else's >:) ). I would appreciate a good Icecream Sundae though, or rhubarb crumble and custyeard (with ginger in the crumble topping).
