Can someone please explain how divines trait works?

I have 230 Magica without any divines gear. When I put on 4 pieces of divine gear, with 3 of them having an enchant of 2 magica, my total goes up to 237. So those 4 pieces of divines, with a 4,5% mundus boost each, is only giving me one extra point. Am I missing something here?

    Since your a low level, the mundus gives you very low magicka. Its roughly between 40-50~. The divines works with multiplication so its 45*1.045*1.045*1.045*1.045 = 53~ and thats why your only getting 7 extra magicka.

    Oh man had no idea. Still though, im really only getting 1 extra magica. The other 6 points are coming from the enchants on the gear.

    What you haven't mentioned is which Mundus Stone you're using. Is it The Mage? If not, I don't see why Divines trait items should give you any more magicka.

    I use The Thief on two of my characters along with some Divines items, and as a result have higher Spell and Weapon Crit than I would have from my Mundus Stone alone. I can tell because the number is a decimal and ends in .5%, and also because I know how much Spell Crit and Weapon Crit I get from my armour set bonuses and Cyrodiil campaign bonuses.

    Yes it's the Mage. I'm also having this problem with the Atronach stone on another character. This stone gives you magica recovery. Moving from
    Green ebon thread gear to green Kresh gear with the same pieces of divines, somehow dropped me 1 magica recovery point. Just don't get it.

    Not sure if intended but I have found only 1 piece of divine works, doesn't stack like some other traits. I tried it one day by adding1 then 2 then 3 pieces with divine trait and only got increase equivalent to 1 piece

    Probably a rounding error.

    I have tried the Divines traits, but since it is a percentage increase of a percentage increase, then the overall affect is quite small. I think it might be better on Epic or Legendary items, but it is still a percentage increase of a percentage increase.

    I now use Infused, Impenetrable and Reinforced on my Armor Glyphs, more bang for the buck.
