It desperately needs centralization! I am porting all over the continent to try and buy Jera - a potency rune that is level 10-20 and I just saw a price of 3000gp for ONE!! cheapest one was 500gp...For one!?

Not only is it a complete waste of time, its causing a hyper inflated econ.

Now of course, those ppl charging these outrageous prices are going to post and say "no, its fine" but seriously?? MMOs are not a new concept, your trying to reinvent the wheel but failing miserably. You need an auction house/centralized selling!!

Please!

If you don't like the price, farm them yourself.

yes this is broken too .......... i need to be n 3 guilds to find stuff to buy ......... with only two guild open to group, i havent found a good grouping to replace all the guilds that folded when people quit.

i sell stuff for reasonable prices ............. i try to price so it will sell in a few days... most sell at way too high a price. Its seems broken to me, but this is my first mmo.

Even if there was one AH, you have to remember it's the first day of a patch that buffs Enchanting leveling significantly. People always capitalize on this stuff to make gold. It'll blow over in a few days. They make money because other players are impatient.

    Not this again

Centralization doesnt work. This is not WoW with limited server population.

Look at GW2 auction fail, look at EVE economic success. End of story

Since release I never bought anything, ever. So the system is not broken. You need to show smart and adapt yourself to the trading environement. For example, you could farm some runes, and ask in your guild / zone chat if someone can make you a glyph. That's just an example among others.

Sazodeha, people wont tell you the real great places to farm stuff, if they did people will over run it.

Thats not true. AH works and has worked in many MMO...Star Wars, LoTR, etc. Placing random vendors all over the continent is just a tremendous waste of time and a lousy way of selling. Why else do you constantly see WTS/WTB spam?? Clear the chat channel and do the obvious! Centralize!

Read the 3rd sentence of my post again, then stop for a second and think about it.

You cannot compare megaserver to shard games, however you could compare it to GW2 or EVE as I did

Everyone else who wanted to level enchanting under the 1.4 changes ported around and bought the cheap ones early. Same thing would've happened if there was an auction house. Actually they would've been harder to find cheap I think.
Happy All the Holidays To You and Yours!

EVE is a bad example to make your point. Yes you have to travel to a station to pick up your bought items, but you can browse various markets at once in a very wide range without moving.

I like it. It is medieval-style shopping, very fitting for a game set in tamriel. Want something, go to a market. Not there, go to a different market.

It also gives you the opportunity to find fantastic deals. Without a central point to check prices, you sometimes find very valuable items for a fraction of the price you believe it is worth. Shopping is great! :)
