Imperial Crafting motif.

Just to discharge all those spamming about changes in patch 1.4

Dear ZOS, will we ever see changes to how Imperial Motif crafted armor and weapons look like ?
I mean this is literaly the rarest and most expensive Motif in game. Alot of players payed additional $ to have ability to craft this motif since start of the game and... This is literaly the most ugly motif ever.

Head and shoulders look SOMEWHAT ok for me, but all other parts look more like level 1 garbage gear.
Also all of the parts look just the same as imperial disguise you can find while questing.

So, could we have some improvements on what we already have before you implement new Motifs at Update 5 ?

What is the meaning of this ?
I wasnt talking about getting Imperial Motif, the topic is that this rarest motif have the worse look in game.

Also i dont want to level up another crafter toon and all the traits on him just to be able to craft imperial gear for free. I have Imperial motif and im fine with it even thou i could simply roll an Imperial toon from the start.

    LOL......

Imperial motif is not needed if you have the Imperial version of the game.

You just make an Imperial toon to craft as normal, or you can convert your gear to Imperial. (but that makes the item bound).

After that paying real money for the Imperial Motif, is stupid and equivalent to self flagellation, and nothing to do with ZoS.

Its depends on taste actually, for me the most worst looking armor is daedric heavy armor while imperial is ok, so only your opinion that imperial armor is most worst in game doesn't do it really most worst motif.

The only issue with the Imperial Motif is that it is required to complete the Motif Collection achievements unless you make an Imperial Character and collect all achievements on that character. So you can have the Imperial Edition but unless you are playing an Imperial you have to be lucky enough to find one or be willing to fork out huge amounts of gold :)

I actually like a lot of the Imperial pieces of armor. Only thing I don't really care for is the pinkish wings on the helm.

I quite like the Imperial Heavy Armour, it has a look that suits my Templar perfectly.

Although I will admit I haven't looked at Imperial Light and Medium gear.

Barbaric anything is ugly. Imperial looks great in later stages of armor.

I'm agree that Imperial Light helm is sucks! Especially low level.

I think that the Imperial motif looks way better than Primal or Barbaric. The medium and light helms are the only things that look weird. Is it one of the best or worst in the game? That is in the eye of the beholder.

I liked imperial heavy armor, but stopped using it around lvl 40 because those medallions that hang from the pauldrons pierce my characters boobs and that's too annoying for me.

Yeah, that one really irks me too. I'd love it if the pauldron tassel...things actually rested over the breasts normally. But, instead they clip in.

lol I think Imperial, together with daedric are one of the only ones that kinda look decent, the other ones are total mess (talking about heavy comparison)

All a matter of personal taste. I think Imperial armor looks perfectly nice.

I was doing some shopping and noticed you can get Imperial cheaper than the purple daedric / ancient elf motifs in some guild stores. Is it because most people don't like how it looks?

Could be because of the look, but could also be because some people have the Imperial edition and therefore don't need it to craft Imperial stuff. I can basically turn any of my items into Imperial gear (but I'd still like to find the motif).

Just craft your pauldrons from a different motif, Dunmer and Khajiit pauldrons sometimes look a lot better. (other motifs work too).

Can't believe you are asking to change a style based on your personal preference have you at least given thought that maybe some folks like it and the world does not revolve around you?

@AlexDougherty‌ I've thought about that and tried a few combinations (also replacing the leather-looking greaves) but in the end I prefer everything being the same style, so I settled for Atlmer, which has the added benefit of the tassets being smaller and not floating so far away.

That gear doesnt even look like any other gear at veteran ranks.
At any level it looks pretty much the same as level 1 garbage.

Fair enough, I prefer to experiment a bit myself, for example I like the Dunmer light armour on my Sorceror. But sometimes the trousers from another motif look better, or recently the helmet (I used a redguard hood and my sorceror looks like a power-ranger or ninja, not the look I was originally going for but it works).

But at the end of the day you have to do what you are comfortable with.
