In-Game Mail: how it should be

The recent annoying change to in-game mail (having to confirm that you want to delete each mail individually, with no option to toggle off the confirmation) got me thinking about how mail should work.

Here are some of the things I think need to be changed for mail.

1) The ability to select more than 1 mail at a time, and then perform an action (ie. take all attachments, delete all).

2) The ability for guild officers to mail all guild members.

3) The ability to retrieve all mail account-wide at once, rather than having to log in and out of each individual character.

4) The ability to see which character a particular mail was sent to (if it was sent to the character rather than the account).

I feel like these are pretty much the minimum required features for a mail system that can be considered user-friendly rather than an annoyance. Anything else that should be changed?

I forgot a really basic mail feature that should be there: a reply button (greyed out for system mails such as hireling mails or items purchased, obviously).

A Reply function would be great. The only issue I see is people would use it for more of a "Chat" function. That might overwhelm the service. However, that could be mitigated by not including the original text in the reply, or limiting the amount of the original text. Also, a cool down timer could be implemented on replies, but that might just be more than what is needed.
