Except you no longer have to open the containers, saving you 2 to 3 button pushes depending on whether you used mouse or keybinds to open them. It's a net reduction.

Hey folks. This was actually a fix, and we had always intended to have a confirmation when deleting mail. That said, we understand that some of you would like to see a toggle for this, and are considering adding this in for a future patch.
What about the change to merchants and bankers introduced in update 3? No toggle for that in the plans either? I like my merchants to be rude and keep talking while browsing. :P

Except that wouldn't make sense, because you can't delete mail that holds items anyway - you have to take the attachments before you can delete it.

Yes, which is why I find this entire change abysmal, unless they replaced the old system with the new one...

Nope, still can't delete a mail unless you take the attachment. So it's a pretty pointless change and how they're "considering" a toggle.... oi vey.

Hey at least the managed to nerf my nb cloak. I definitely felt to op the one time I actually managed to use it to escape from someone. Luckily the fact that the stealth radius passives are broken, cloak is even worse and night silence set doing nothing. Should combine to ensure that no nb is able to successfully leave combat or enter it via stealth again.
All they need to do now is stop sorcs using magic,DK's using fire and Templars healing and we will have balance.

I agree on the excessive mail in PvP. It NEEDS to get reduced how much rewards you get from pvp! Seriously. You get more gear there in 2 hours then 2 days in PvE!

LOL.. let me get this straight, you're considering adding a toggle that will basically turn off a button that you just added, a button that is pretty much functionally redundant in the first place? Did you really just say that? :pensive:

Once we get that, can we have a button that we need to press while activating/deactivating the toggle.. a safety catch so to speak.. just I wouldn't want to toggle it by mistake.. ;)

Blame me for the change and the other people who accidentally deleted a mail, in my case with a topic "I need some foods" and then I politely asked the support staff if there was any way I could just know who sent me the mail I accidentally deleted while deleting hireling mails.

The extra button push.. Yes it's annoying. Yes it should be an "option" we can turn off while agreeing to the terms of never bugging the support team to restore deleted mails.
But more important I wish they'd do some basic things like add a reply button, allow me to see my sent mails, increase the size of the mailbox so that I can actually GET a player mail even if I did just log all my alts with hirelings, or go and PVP, and to add a feature allowing guilds to send guild mails, perhaps only once per day to prevent excessive mails.

No, you don't, actually. Equivalent time PvEing will get you more gear, plus other useful things that you won't get PvPing. You only get the more generic set pieces, too. And nothing other than greens. And about 60 gold per container, when the cost of PvPing is so much steeper than PvE.

Lol at PvE'rs whining that PvP'rs get more stuff. That gave me a good laugh.

I'm not mad at this change, however it is rather annoying that empty mail asks this confirmation.

I hit the delete key for a reason, I really do not need to confirm that I want to delete an empty mail.

My question is: Why was this confirmation added to begin with?

This post gets my vote for most trivial complaint ever.

Except it's not a trivial complaint, not by a long shot. Anyone that pvps or sells items on guild stores will be annoyed by this change. Which is ultimately redundant because you cannot delete the mail unless you retrieve the attachment. So they essentially annoyed the majority of players because a handful needs to be coddled? yeah, clearly trivial. Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back sport.
