Doors

It's amazing that doors in Tamriel know if you are being attacked or not. Sort of a joke but it's pretty immersion breaking.

No, it's just the cowards behind them, keeping them shut tight when they hear any noise of battle outside. Pretty immersive, methinks. ;):p

And here I was expecting some kind of speculation as to what musical heights Jim Morrison could have achieved if he hadn't died so young.

Not in ESO either. I'm fairly sure you've encountered several locked doors through your journeys. I mean, unless you're still level 5 or something, there are many quests with locked doors. And if you haven't, well... Then just go to Cyrodiil and try to open an enemy keep's door. (or even your own postern door, sometimes, lol)

My 'postern door' is alright the way it is. Thanks for caring, tho.

I hate that moment when you resurrect and go from wayshrine to doors, then you press E and nothing, standing there like idiot hoping to get though but nothing so I decide to jump from roof outside it became more practical :D

If I die and resurrect the door is then "open" - I'm trying to point out the mechanic of not being able to zone when you're under attack is poor. As I said in the original post how does the door know I'm being attacked? (similarly but different topic - how does the mob know what level I am that I can take his boots off him after he dies)
Also and more importantly, as a player you lose that 'whew-I just made it' moment. The game forces you to play a certain way - which after a couple months of playing I'm finding that in ESO there are many little mechanics within the game that make it very limiting in terms of an open world game. It's not close to SWTOR in those terms but it's not that far either.
