Night time in game - help please. (Vampire Hunting) UPDATED!!!

I am in New Zealand and I am finding it difficult to know the time difference when I am trying so hard to find the right place right time in game to catch those vamps in Bangkorai with no such luck for days as yet.

So my questions are:

How long does night time last for in game and what time zone does the game run on. And what time in real time does night time start?

And.. does anyone who may read this have help/hints on how to better my luck with upping my odds that I can finally find a vampire group in my quest for becoming a vampire.

Cheers.

I believe (although please correct me if I am wrong!) that the day/night cycle is around 6 hours long, so if (just for the sake of explaining, I am not suggesting you do this!) you were to play for 24 hours straight, you would see 4 daytimes and 4 nighttimes in game.

It's not a 24 hour day in real time, so it doesn't particularly start and end in co-ordination with any real life time zone.

    Day/night cycle: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1847/~/will-eso-have-a-day/night-cycle?

I did my hunting in reaper's march(vet5 zone for me). I simply ported there every night and ran through the known spots. When vamps/ww spawn, they usually are all over the zone, so if you pass 4 spots and don't find any, they probably aren't spawned anywhere else.

For this it is important to know at least one spot so you have something to check. Willowgrove wayshrine in reaper's march has one spot a few meters south of it (the mobs are visible from the shrine). Another is Broken Arch crafting spot - the mobs spawn just a few meters to the east of it.

Vamps/WW spawn in the same place, and in a pattern: bloodfiend-nothing-nothin-werewolf-nothing-nothin-bloodfiend. Each one RL day. So for example if you find a werewolf on the spot on the 13th august, there will be a vamp there roughly on the 16th august, and a ww again on the 19th august (these are actual dates when i saw the mobs)

If you find a werewolf there, but you wanted a vamp, it is a good idea to take a tour of the zone and try to find more werevolves(while they are spawned), because those spots will have vamps 3 days later.

@Sharee - thanks for that! I want to do both vampire and werewolf on at least 1 character each, just to unlock the achievements and dyes, as I am a bit of a completionist. Your post is very useful, thank you.

Oh my thank you very much for much detail. I do have add-on Destinations to show roughly the locations on my map where to look .

I only just recently turned Vet1 and have just started questing in AD zones and so far Bangkorai is the only place for me to troll.

I go look there when I am in game and notice it is night and stay for a long time going back 'n' forth to the point of stressing out LOL. It was so much easier to achieve in Skyrim.

As for a 24 hrs stint in game I am too old to stay up that long now. As it is I do 12 hrs and some almost each day as it is ... I have no life see. :s

I really appreciate the advice/help - so thank you very much. =)

I am also determined to (at least on one character) get infected in-game as I want to see that happen iykwim. I have guildmates who could bite me if I wanted, but I still want to experience getting it from the NPC mobs. If that makes any sense :D

Yepper, makes sense to me.(except the iykwim bit lol)

I am not in a guild and though I see people offer to bite you in chat for a fee but being a victim of scam is what I fear and I am just not prepared to go through that you know?
Besides I am still leveling up trade skills and saving gold to up bank storage that *** is expensive. AND I want to get a draft horse - think that's the right name for the one painted brown and white.

I just got bit,I just got bit!!!! So happy. Doing quest of blood matron now.

I was hanging around for a bit and decided to see if I could do some of the group bosses in the area I had not done when I was questing here. That done and still no sign of vamps decided then to clear up a couple of the newb area pathfinder quests clear those up as well. I went back to Bangkorai and I saw two very pale guys in the distance and bout died - rofl - I went up to em and sure enough bloodfiends I let em have me I gave myself freely but hell they slap ya hard. I been good I promise. >:)

Thanks for posting this @Sharee as this information worked a treat for me!
Once I, embarassingly, figured out when night-time actually was i.e. stars were in the sky and it wasn't just overcast or raining  this helped me out enormously, so cheers!!
