I am also determined to (at least on one character) get infected in-game as I want to see that happen iykwim. I have guildmates who could bite me if I wanted, but I still want to experience getting it from the NPC mobs. If that makes any sense

So my questions are:
How long does night time last for in game and what time zone does the game run on. And what time in real time does night time start?
And.. does anyone who may read this have help/hints on how to better my luck with upping my odds that I can finally find a vampire group in my quest for becoming a vampire.
Cheers.

I did my hunting in reaper's march(vet5 zone for me). I simply ported there every night and ran through the known spots. When vamps/ww spawn, they usually are all over the zone, so if you pass 4 spots and don't find any, they probably aren't spawned anywhere else.
For this it is important to know at least one spot so you have something to check. Willowgrove wayshrine in reaper's march has one spot a few meters south of it (the mobs are visible from the shrine). Another is Broken Arch crafting spot - the mobs spawn just a few meters to the east of it.
Vamps/WW spawn in the same place, and in a pattern: bloodfiend-nothing-nothin-werewolf-nothing-nothin-bloodfiend. Each one RL day. So for example if you find a werewolf on the spot on the 13th august, there will be a vamp there roughly on the 16th august, and a ww again on the 19th august (these are actual dates when i saw the mobs)
If you find a werewolf there, but you wanted a vamp, it is a good idea to take a tour of the zone and try to find more werevolves(while they are spawned), because those spots will have vamps 3 days later.
