Fishing issue

It dawned on me the other day, the fighing rod makes a sound like it has a reel on it when we catch the fish, despite being a bamboo stick with a bit of string tied on (no reel).
Once you're aware of it, it just seems weird.

I'm sure others have noticed it too, I just don't recall anyone commenting on it in the forums.
What I find scary is that it took me this long to spot it, I really should have realised earlier.People believe what they either want to be true or what they are afraid is true!

BTW, I have fished with a pole and string before, it's not that easy to do to, as you are basically on top of the fish and can spook them. Have to stand very still. Much better to cast the line, put the pole in a holder then pick up a beer before having a seat. Of course you have to be quick to grab the pole when the fish hits. But, by that point, you needed to get up to get another beer anyway, so it's all good.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Actually that's a good question, I guess the sound of a fly being cast would work (yes I do know what fly fishing sounds like).
