Guild Kiosk Robbery

As a GM, I have been maintaining a guild kiosk on a weekly basis. However, last week my kiosk (nor any other kiosk) had an option to bid. After coming to forums, I read that they were in fact bugged and a fix was coming soon most likely in Update 4. HOWEVER, here we are on Monday and some other guild has my kiosk. This would be ok if I were outbid, BUT that is NOT the case.
The questions: If it were bugged, then why was another guild able to bid on our kiosk?
Why does this particular kiosk not label the guild that "won" the vendor? (no tabard on vendor, no label in conversation just "guild store", i.e. once you enter the store is when you finally see who "owns" it.)
What about all of our revenue lost this week? [snip] Can I get a "Sorry" from anything resembling a dev?

david271749✭✭✭✭✭If you run a pvx guild I'm sorry, but this shouldn't bother you too much. If you run a trading guild, then LOL. Most trading guilds knew this was coming, and had ways to prevent it. If you want to play the market, get to know it.

No, you cant get anything. Once again, a new system implemented that has failed. Why do you expect things to work here?

I run a pvx guild, not a trading guild. This fact does not lesson the impact for us. The kiosk serves great purpose for a pvx guild and not sure why you would think otherwise.

I run a pvx guild, not a trading guild. This fact does not lesson the impact for us. The kiosk serves great purpose for a pvx guild and not sure why you would think otherwise.

I'm in a pvx guild, and it took us 3 weeks to setlle on a kiosk and win. We took our time and talked about it. Nobody moaned and groaned over not being able to sell things in the guild from an area with high traffic, because we know we're not a trading guild. Players have 5 guild slots for a reason.
Some guild leaders who were on the forums and aware of the bug messaged their members to stand at their regular guild kiosk when the week ends in order to claim it for 100g. They even offered rewards for the person who claimed it. Communication was done through one of the many guild mail addons out there. I suggest that every guild do something like this, because I'd rather see market chaos than see the same old doofey trading guilds runing the market and making huge profits.4 -

Not the case mate, I visited many bugged out kiosks yesterday morning and none had a bidding option

Mountain_Dewed✭✭✭They were bugged, some got lucky and found the correct news and some were left out in the cold. A player shouldn't have to follow the bug report to see what's working and what's not multiple times a day and laughing at them should get some a time out but that won't happen.
There was so much change in such short time that others started rumors to make it even more confusing is actually what happened and they prospered from it. I wish I could prove who and when they did but maybe Zen can learn from it next time there is a bug in something important and maybe give a better option to all instead of a hotfix.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭What happened was that traders in some zones did not have a "bid on trader" option last week. Off the top of my head, Eastmarch, Coldharbour and Craglorn were bugged. Shadowfen started the week bugged but got unbugged during the week.
The big question was what would happen to those traders once the bidding period ended at 8am EDT on Monday. Some guilds had folks stand by the trader and try to hire them as soon as 8am came around. It worked. They got a trader for a week for 100g.
The reason that particular trader is not wearing a tabard is because he/she changed guilds, and that's a bug. Hopefully, you can now bid on that trader again and you will have him back for next week.
We couldn't bid on our usual trader last week, so we decided to place a bid on a different trader and we got them instead.
There are several fixes to guild traders coming with Update 4, which is supposed to hit next week, so that will hopefully not happen again.The Moot Councillor0 -
