Ferocious Leap vs Take Flight

I've heard there's a difference in the allowed Y-axis (vertical) angle between the too morphs of Dragon Leap. I've been told that Ferocious Leap, while shorter in distance and more expensive in cost, allows you to jump near-vertical angles.

I was at an outpost defence yesterday and a DK leapt from the gate platform, through the metal grille and onto the first floor!!!! I currently have the skill unmorphed since my last respec and I couldn't perform such a leap myself.

Does anyone have any idea or experience in this? Is the bolded statement true? Is there a DK with the Ferocious Leap morph out there that wants to help me test this?

Note: I'm AD in EU, so you'd have to be on the same megaserver but in different faction. And of course you'd have to be a DK with the Ferocious Leap morph :D

It could also be that they clipped through the floor, it happens sometimes in games where there are meshes that are not completely seemed together. Did you see this more than once or with other players?

They definitely went through the grill which might be a clipping issue but that's besides the point. The point is that the person managed to jump really high on a near-vertical angle and I'm interested to know which morph he used for that.

I just want to find out if the different morphs allow for different vertical angles.

I have the Dragon Leap skill, used it a few times. I have the Take Flight Morph. I never noticed that much of a height aspect, but I was using it inside. However, I also did not see the entire flight path either, even being in third person. So, assuming a Parabolic Path is used, one would expect the jump to go up about 28 Meters to be able to travel 28 meters in distance.

So, was this grill or floor more than 28 Meters up (85 Plus feet)?

Yeah, I've tested it myself now.

Ferocious Leap allows you for better vertical angles. If you want to jump onto keeps outer walls, it's the best morph to use.
