Doesn't snipe almost instant kill?
or am I thinking of a different bow skill?

I've seen so many people busy looking at maps or inventory items get dropped instantly from this, and once they realize 'Oh no I'm being attacked' it's one hit away from death. Most never survive.
But it's war I guess, must ALWAYS pay attention

Depends on the bow used and the health and mitigation of the player being attacked, but if you use Snipe from stealth, it can put out some serious damage; and you can put another one in flight while the previous shot is still air-bound.

The only downside really is it's high cost and long wind-up time, but since they've been reduced it's a rather impressive must have skill for bow users.

Not a vamp, so I don't mind. I can understand why many people were upset with the speed sneak stack being nerfed though, with sorcs bolt escaping wherever they please.
