Hi all, I am starting off a new series of polls about helping ZOS to start adopting addon functionality into the game. Some of those addons out there are so fantastic in terms of features, design and stability, that I think their functionality should be integrated into the game. A big thank's to all you addon developers, you are doing a wonderful job!

I realize that some addons offer quite specific functionality that is not for everyone, but others offer much needed and quite trivial UI enhancements. I also realize that some of these features were deliberately left out by the game developers, while others might just have been overlooked.

I am not intending to kill the addon community with this effort. Addon development takes effort, and while it is fun to first develop an addon it can become arduous having to update it with every new version of the game, so I am suggesting to include the best addons into the game so that modders have time to work on something new and be creative, rather than to have to maintain their creations.

Only voted no since once you have editic memory you can pull up the information easily.

I wouldn't be opposed though to just adding a line to their description say.

Some addons provide useful UI features that should have been there, but weren't simply by some kind of oversight, or lack of understanding the difference between "clean" UI and "incomplete" UI on the developers part. AwesomeGuildStore and AdvancedFilters are great examples of addons that simply fill in the gaps of a bad UI.

This--and others, like Skyshards, Undiscovered, Minimap, etc. are fine as addons for those that want them, but actively circumvent DESIGN decisions for the game itself and represent Shortcuts or spoilers to the intended challenges of the game. Those types should never be part of the interface.

In this case, learning the types of bait to use is part of the "game" of fishing and this is basically a cheat sheet. Not saying people shouldn't be able to find it and use it, just that it would be silly to put it in the game as figuring out what bait to use is obviously an intended challenge baked into the whole idea of fishing in ESO.

Expresses my feelings perfectly. Plus it's very easy to find fishing guides in the forum and web. It's easy enough to learn what bait with which water just by fishing. I do use RARE FISH TRACKER addon so I don't have to constantly open achievements journal. It helps offset the horrible fishing RNG god.
