Ughh, I cannot stand the lag anymore. Attacks being telegraphed 1-2 seconds after pressing the button and the good old "cannot attack" bug. No it's not my internet connection. I can't get past a public dungeon that I'm soloing due to the extreme lag.

PS: While we are at it, can we keep a newly spawned pet after I revive from freakin attacking?!?!?!? Die due to lag, revive, summon pet and with no command it goes straight for the boss, wtf?

Errr.... you need to contact your ISP, Its not ESO that has the lag. I just have Optimum Internet, its not the fastest, but I have no lag when playing ESO.

Hmm I dunno but could it be that OP has got lag but you guys don't due to a number of different reasons, location, server, etc?

I had my cable tech here a couple of weekends ago and they spent hours redoing all the cable, replacing the router, etc. I kind of held back until then to make sure it wasn't my connection. Sometimes the game runs smoothly, but mostly I get lag where my ability casts 1-2 seconds after I cast it.

I didn't mean to rant and rave though, I was just frustrated dying a ton of times to stuff I should be able to easily solo.

I have been seeing more lag since the last patch. Dolmens, solo dungeons everywhere. I run around and can not activate anything on my character or containers. Then a few seconds later, it comes back. It's not my ISP, I work for them......

Had some nasty spikes tonight. It's not the game though, it's somewhere on the route. About an hour or so of really, really ugly lag. Then it cleared right up.

Incorrect. The lag has NOTHING to do with your internet connection, and everything to do with ESO's servers and Ping.

I have TOP tier Optic-Fiber, in one of the few places of Aus that has fast internet. I frequently play other games with ZERO lag.
There is however no Oceanic server for ESO. Using the NA server from Australia inherits a large Ping of about 0.4 seconds

I live in the middle of nothing Australia with very very bad internet (Its that or nothing) on the American server and I get no lag. So I'm out of ideas. Sorry Mate!

If you have Charter Communications they've been having major issues the last month or so with internet going down.

The only other thing that I can think of is you have some background program running that is causing it like a Virus scanner or something. That's the only time I ever get lag.

Get used to it. Without a re-boot maint this week, this weekends gameplay is gonna boarder on un-playable.

...I think they went on strike over the recent lay-offs. (more management than staff now)

I live in the middle of nowhere too, but I don't experience any lag during PvE, however in PvP whenever I go near a battle with more than 5 people involved the connection just breaks up, I am killed by someone and I can't log back into Cyrodil until about 15 minutes where I am teleported back to base (during this time I play with my alts and have no lag so my internet is definitely not the problem).

Ugh, all PVP is on a busy map is a lag battle. Please, the OP could very well be talking about during PVP and hasn't made it clear, but could some of you just stop with the "lol I get no lag when I'm killingz level 15 wolves" please.

PVP end game DOES lag. PVP end game DOES server crash, kicking all players out and rolling back progress.

Seriously, the server lagging and crashing is not his internet connection.

Still getting significant lag today, seeing a lot of complaints about this on the forum as well. Hopefully they can fix some of this. I've been playing GW2 a bit since then and it's rock solid, no lag. In fact all of my other MMO's don't have any significant lag, occasionally minor as one might expect, but nothing like TESO where it affected gameplay.

It sounds like a problem with your home network/router settings. Dropping packets and such.

Are you forwarding any ports, blocking any ports? You could try opening everything up, all security and see if that alleviates any problems. Slowly apply securities back and see what affects performance.

The only lag I have experienced is right after exiting a delve or cave - only for about 30 seconds then its gone.

I've been having similar issues since the server migration. Seems to be related to zones somehow, but not depending in their population. I can have no lag at all in a crowded overworld zone, enter a delve and get a way higher base latency plus lag spikes the whole time I'm in there alone. Doesn't have to be a delve, just seems some zones are worse than others.

I keep seeing people saying the issue is on my end, but at the same time I keep seeing a lot of people complaining about lag. I just had a senior cable tech at my house for literally 8 hours checking everything, replacing every single cable in my house and to the street, new router, etc. Everything runs perfectly and I get no issues, lag, slowdowns, or anything at all other than in this game. I'm not a network tech so have no idea though, but my common sense tells me there is only one thing running badly.

Yes, exactly. Sometimes it runs perfectly, other times I get a pause between, for example, pressing a skill and having that skill actually fire.
