I use all medium, too. Though recently I've been learning light armor to have some flexibility.

With my medium loadout, I get 127 Spell damage with 27.5% crit, and 202 Weapon damage with 66.5% crit. Both damages are soft capped.

Look at your light armor passives. (1) and (2) dont exist. light armor NB does not have higher base damage, it is the same.
You are right if strictly speaking of only the armor. But I thought it was clear in the context of what I was writing that "light armor" referred to magicka builds that stack magicka and spell damage, since the original post was mainly interested in stamina vs. magicka builds. Sorry that the terminology was unclear.
Shadowy Disguise is also another tactic but it come at a great magika cost. But a Shadowy Disguise crit will do the same damage as a normal crit which medium armor will usually do anyways with their 60% + crit builds. but with out the SD magika cost.
I don't know what your usual targets are, but there are people running with 70% or even 80% crit resist. Without SD, you're not going to reliably crit them at all.

Also, I don't disagree that medium armor NBs are better assassins. I was just saying that light armor magicka builds make decent ones too.

Sorry for coming off so strong, I am just use to people telling me light Armor is superioir and im gimping myself for not wearing it. that may be the case for the other classes but not for my NB build :)

You are correct it is easier to make a magika build with light armor because of the set bonuses that light armor favor. if you are using a player crafted set it is easier because you can generally get what you want. the Stygian Set is also a very good medium armor assasin set with spell damage, magika, stamina, and 20% spell sneak attack damage.

I currently run the full Stygian Set with 2 daggers mixed with other sets.

I am sitting at 125 spell damage, 2415 magika and 2800 hps and 54% crit and 14% penetration.

ambush and Suprise attack do alot of damage, and my Swallow Soul still hits very hard even without light armor penetration.

I don't have a specific NB setup, but the magic of DW, imo, lies in the passives.

Ruffian: "Deals 15% more damage when attacking stunned, immobilized, disoriented or silenced enemies"

Slaughter: "Increases damage with dual wield abilities 20% vs. targets under 25% Health"

I run DW as my dps bar on my DK and it's pretty nice at V10. I have some kinks to work out with sustained DPS, but AoE is not a problem at all.

I generally cast a few buffs on myself, then charge in, and keep burning talons (bonus DMG from Ruffian passive plus a DoT) up while using steel tornado. On public dungeon sized mobs this can pull ~1.8k DPS. Throw in an ultimate for ~900 more DPS.

Play to the damage boosting passives. Do something to keep Ruffian up and running and remember that all your DW skills can work as executes.
