Quest Tracking. Why is it missing?

It was well implemented in Skyrim. You could go into your quest log and view your current quests, and also view the quests you had completed. In ESO, the only indicator you have for completed quests is the map in which darkened areas turn white when the overall quest line is complete.

The reason why I believe this feature needs to be implemented is that it will encourage more people to group together. My brother and I will often play but we lead busy and diverse lives and live a fair distance away from each other. We have characters in the same zone, but sometimes he finds an opportunity to play when I'm unavailable. We get together, and I have no idea what quests he has completed, and he has no idea what I've done. I know there's a "share quest" feature, but this works erratically, and sometimes not at all.

I had to ask him to email a screenshot of his map so I could get some clue as to what he's done. In a game of this level and sophistication, this is an unnecessary burden on the players. Please implement a quest log feature that shows quests you have completed!

Yeah, this is a feature that I miss too. As an altaholic (leveling 16 characters!) I'll frequently remember that I completed a particular quest, but I won't necessarily remember if I completed it with the character I'm currently playing. For the quests that make landmarks on the map turn white it's not really an issue, but for all the little side quests around, I never know if I've missed some on a particular alt.

Description:

This is my vision of the quest journal. I wanted it to look more classic, like TES3 Morrowind's quest journal. It has full functionality of the original ESO quest journal plus some additions. The additions include:
- display of times (start time, steps times, end time),
- quests history (Completed Quest),
- quests conversations (quest start/end dialogs),
- display of completed quests rewards,
- quest progression steps,
- possibility to change the journal appearance (skin, font, colors)
To open the journal type /journal command or go to the controls menu and set your desired key binding. The quest history contains only quest completed after this addon installation.

Agree. This is a feature that I miss. Although I don't have double digit characters, I do have 8 to craft, harvest, and play. Trying to keep track of which character did what for which alliance is a pain. When friends and guildmates ask for help, I have no idea whether I can group with them or not.

Yes, quest tracker would be great, also it could tell you if you are visible to other members in your group, or if your just a floating grammar mark....

I wouldn't mind a tweak to the system in the settings menu that reduces help you get from quest tracker. You know like when it says find so and so and it points right to them. Why can't it just point to a general area and let you actually do a little work
