One giant vet 30 day
One non vet 30 day

No more excuses. No more "muh timezones" No more "muh buff server" No more avoidance, no more hiding on high pop vs low pop, no more switching campaigns, no more guesting issues. You want to win a campaign? You earn it by actually fighting everyone every day.

The only issue would be technical regarding stability, but we already have dealt with that since Wabba 1.0

What say you ZOS

Dont agree Haderus (EU) is balanced, all three standard EU instances seems to have balanced pops most of the time. The problem is lags and craches at high pop.

Have you ever been to Chillrend? If not, I would suggest taking a look. No balance there, friend ;).

Are you willing to wait in giant queues?

I'm not sarcastic, it's a real question. Unless ZOS manages to improve the underlying tech to support the whole megaserver in a single cyrodiil, the queues would have to be very long. The zone struggles even with the current 500/500/500 cap.

As for me - i think i would be willing to endure longer queues, up to a certain point(one hour or so).

One campaign for everyone sounds fantastic if it were possible to make this happen without lagging everyone's game. Cyrodiil is fun when there are lots of players and battles to get into at all times of day, and boring when there are not enough players.

At this time, I'm not sure we even have enough player base to support two high pop campaigns. Chillrend and Thornblade have not been consistently full on the NA server.

In my case, I don't mind if the populations are unbalanced, or if there are lots more enemy players. We have too many dead campaigns and the high pop campaigns need to be filled up with more players, if we could increase the caps without lag.

Maybe it would have been better to have only one megaserver instead of separate EU and NA servers.

What are the real caps, though? I know that at release, there was a 2000 overall pop cap which then was distributed over factions with a little leeway if one faction got capped.

Then I remember that pop was reduced to 200 per faction due to server performance issues. I tried to find it in the patch notes but couldn't locate it. Could be this change was not implemented this way at all.

In another discussion, a player raised 300 per faction as the current pop cap for a campaign. Now I see 500 per faction.

Can we (I) get a green statement in regards to current pop caps in place?

    @ZOS_GinaBruno, etc.

What i wrote is based on information i learned way back, during the beta. I have not seen anything that would suggest this has changed since then, however.

Not entirely sure, but the caps seem to be lower, as when I've been on a locked campaign recently, there seemed to be far fewer players overall compared to locked campaigns at launch time. At launch on a few campaigns, and then later on Wabbajack there were so many players all over the place.

You are joking right?? The EU 30 day campaign has had more rollbacks and server crashes than I can remember due to it crashing when the multiple impulse zergs come together. When they sort that they actually may start to look at the numbers that are actually viable.

Exactly why I asked this question.

I am absolutely 100% sure that there was a discussion in regards to campaign population in the very beginning, when everyone still thought that the performance issues were related to population cap being too high. I am also absolutely certain that I read somewhere that initial design for campaigns was to allow 2000 players in one campaign.

I am kind of sure about the 200 per faction number, but can't seem to find the according official statement.

I can't imagine that it is restricted info, how many players are allowed into one campaign. If ZOS is paranoid enough to not make this info available for fear of someone estimating total subscriber numbers from that or any other "state of the game" related info, I'll probably pee my pants laughing.

Hence, please give us that number and also help us out with the order of magnitude percentage for "low". "medium" and "high" populations. I think having these numbers will help the discussion in regards to pop imbalance within campaigns as well as between campaigns.

I remember the same discussion and I believe they moved to a 50/100/150/200 system per bar/lock. Each bar is 50 people. 200 max per faction.

There is no way we are seeing 500 players logged in per faction in any campaign right now, 200 would make MUCH more sense.

No only Thornblade and Haderus. Both campaign often are full, which does not mean that there is point balance though. AD tend to win Haderus, better players perhaps. We may win this time (DC).
